I need help. My employer is making me watch "An Inconvenient Truth" and there's no way out of it. What movie or documentary can I use to prove an opposing and rational viewpoint?
Take a couple of ambien with you
call in sick
Just giggle whenever he talks about animals dying. That’ll get your point across.
Try reading this:
Dare we ask the name of your employer (or at least your field of work?)
Act like your watching the Rocky horror picture show and act it out
Its pass time to update your RESUME and better yourself!!!!!!!
you could always quit.
Good Lord! For whom do you work?
Are you on the clock? I guess if my employer wanted to pay me by the hour to watch videos I guess I would do it. But I don’t think the investors would be happy with this allocation of labor (if indeed it is a public company.)
Larry Elder has some good counter material and a DVD.
Go to YouTube and look up “The Great Global Warming Swindle”, a documentary by Channel 4 in Britain.
***Just giggle whenever he talks about animals dying. Thatll get your point across.***
I second that
Take a camcorder with you and go to your company early in the Morning.
Record everyone coming to work in their Giant SUVs and all by themselves and not car-pooling.
Tell them you would rather die of cancer due to harmful UV Rays or drown in a 50 foot wave then join a group of liars and hypocrites.
What everyone else said. Your employer is a moron, but he’s the moron who signs the checks. Play along, update your resume, and move on as soon as possible.
Mine Your Own Business
Besides the obvious point that anyone watching that movie today has completely missed the scads of material out there disproving virtually (oops) ALL of what the Goorsickle says. Try to download a copy of “The Great Global Warming Swindle”, produced by one of the independent channels in the UK. (Or course, the BBC wouldn’t touch it, since there’s not one scientist in the whole BBC broadcast crew.) “Swindle” does a great job...all examples are backed up by facts...not consensus.
“Act like your watching the Rocky horror picture show and act it out”
I can see you doing this and all the Libs joining in.
If they ask you what you're doing, you can just say that you're trying to imagine a whole world of people and animals dying, because you really want to understand the severity and urgency of the situation. It's a psychological acting-out that helps you listen and learn.
Yeah, that oughta be enough...
Just go and laugh uproariously at inappropriate moments.
Plus, make comments about Al that seem like you care about him, but actually insinuate the opposite. For example, “He’s getting so BIG. I worry about his health,” and “I always wonder how far he would have gone without that speech impediment.”
Call a lawyer. File a lawsuit when they fire you for not watching. You just won the lottery.
You know what i look like ?spooky
Oh and by the way, the title of this thread was one of the better vanity post titles in a long time! Very evocative!
I bow to your superior suggestion!
Do you really want to?
If you do, then take a peek at www.climateaudit.org (statistical review) and www.surfacestations.org (why are the measurement stations in the parking lot or under the air-conditioning vent, and why can’t Hansen tell) about climate science stuff in general.
Also, There are a number of newspaper articles specifically noting the qualifications that UK students have to be made aware of before being shown the movie. Use these links to find the data, don’t use them to show your employer, as he’ll just dismiss it because it came via Newsbusters.
GOOGLE “Kristen Byrnes”
15-Year-Old Byrnes Outsmarts NASAs Global Warming Alarmist James Hansen

On May 18, NewsBusters introduced you to Kristen Byrnes, the fabulous fifteen-year-old from Maine who had torn apart many of the myths purported by the Global Warmingist-in-Chief, soon-to-be-Dr. Al Gore, in his schlockumentary An Inconvenient Truth.
Go ahead and watch it. It can’t hurt you. It’s just dumb.
Then watch “The Great Global Warming Swindle”. From BBC4.
This guy has the movie 8 segments on YouTube.
I’m guessing you are employed by
the public education system???
Ask , since this is “Show and Tell” can you you bring in your pet rock named Rocky.?
I might recommend Syrup of ipecac but I won’t because the results would be too nasty (although harmless).
If you can get access to the DVD he/she/it plans to show, steal it and replace it with a porno. “Technical difficulties” should put a stop to the show at that point. If you’re really in a foul mood, make a copy of the label from Algore’s flick and stick that on the porn DVD. Then, time how long it takes before he/she/it pounces on the player to stop it.
(If you just can’t bring yourself to do something like this with a porno, use a Teletubbies DVD instead. Either one, however, makes a valid statement about Gore’s propaganda piece.)
Article from today about how temp monitors are reporting global cooling.
..call me suspicious but....where ya been mbx1231..you haven't posted since may of last year
Bring a blow torch and some gerbils.
Excuse me? Your employer is MAKING YOU WATCH IT? You go to work, do your job and go home. That’s ALL you have to do. He CANNOT MAKE YOU WATCH IT.
Read Alan Caruba’s latest.
The past 12 months have wiped out a century of warming.
John Coleman’s (KUSI Weatherman) Take on Global Warming.
Check out a site called ICECAP.
Penn & Teller debunk Global Warming but I don’t know if there is a DVD or a download of this episode.
Yikes, and I thought it was disgusting when one of my publishers made the entire office staff read excerpts from Pat Summit’s (TN Vols women’s basketball team)UPLIFTING book each morning, then initial the copy to confirm we’d read it.
I remember being so POd having to waste time (at deadline)on this.
I told her I become UPLIFTED more doing my job than reading this silly stuff.
Maybe he works for the Goracle?
