Serbia Did Not Guarantee U.S. Embassy Sufficient Protection During Looting

screaming into its own defense. For those of you searching for the word to describe, it's called LEADERSHIP. We lead, we convince, we bargain, we bribe, we trade with, we give, we threaten, we give help we do whatever it takes to convince those most directly affected — countries like France, England, Germany and Italy — to get directly involved, and this time, finish the damn job.

Serbia is not done being a pain in the world’s butt. The Serbs feel entitled to their hatred and fear. They are welcome to them; just leave the rest of us the hell alone. However, when that hatred spills on to us we should give the Serbs the one thing they understand: a bloody nose or worse. Now this bloody nose can be in the form of economic, social, religious, information, psychological or even military, but doing nothing only tells the Serbs that what they are doing is OK. It is not OK to burn the U.S. Embassy, here are the consequences … whack, whack, whack.

The Serbians murdered thousands of Muslim men, women and children and have had less than a handful of their sadistic leaders even brought to trial. What we just witnessed on world television is the Serbian government telling the world they have not even begun to change their ways. What is equally insulting is that our government is still not willing to do a damn thing about it.

Don't be ridiculous. The United States should have pulled out of the Balkans ten years ago.

We have no strategic interests in that region.

Perhaps the Serbs were simply returning the favor being as how NATO’s done such a fine job of defending those 200+ Christian churches that the Muslims burned in Kosovo.

Sorry, most of the people in the State Department really don’t feel Serbian Orthodox churches are “true Christian churches”. That’s why they’ve let them burn.

Maybe we shouldn't have attacked them. I know about the genocide and that it had to be stopped and I agree but after that what were we doing?

I going to stand with the Serbs in this. Course they shouldn't have attacked our embassy.

I just recieved this today

http://byzantinesacredart.com/blog/2008/02/another-setup.html

Was Thursday Attack on US Embassy in Belgrade a Setup? According to the Serbian media, investigators of the Serbian Interior Ministry have found hand-drawn maps pointing to the streets and buildings of the US and other embassies in Belgrade in the pockets of a group of vandals who were arrested in Thursday riots.

Serbia's Interior Ministry has confirmed their investigation is focused on the identity of a group of young men who were caught with rather unusual maps after instigating violent riots at the same time when half a million Serbs were gathered in the state capital to peacefully protest imposed dismemberment of Serbia, and as the procession of over 500,000 peaceful demonstrators streamed out of St. Sava Cathedral where they attended the prayer service. The investigators are currently trying to determine under whose authority and instructions were these men sent to create chaos in the streets of Belgrade, effectively taking the world's attention off Serbia's massive and dignified protest, and refocusing that same attention to the outburst of violence that occurred in the shadows of the big event.

“According to our investigation, apart from setting fire to the embassies and consulates, these individuals intended to draw citizens that were attending a peaceful rally in the downtown Belgrade, in the violence. The first outbursts have started in the midst of a rally, while the demolition and attack on embassies occurred when citizens started returning from the St. Sava Church,” Serbian Interior Ministry investigators explained.

They have discovered that a number of those who were engaged in the violent attacks on embassies have not attended the large rally in front of the National Parliament building and never intended to attend the scheduled peaceful demonstrations, but to instigate violence.

What a shock to the intellectual masturbators at Foggy Bottom.

Why would they possiblyanticipate the Serbian people might be P.O.’d at the USA?

Just because our government bombed the crap out of them, enabled the muslims slaughter of a couple hundred thousand Serbian men, women and children, helped the muslims rip a piece of their country away as a muslim state and then had the action edorsed by our president?

We are being led by nincompoops.

Yes, we are guilty - we vote them into office.
Then they hire and appoint other nincompoops.

Nincompoops get elected over and over again because we only have a choice of a democrat nincompoop or a republican nincompoop.
So we vote for the one we think is the least dangerous.
Once in a while we get it right.
But they are still nincompoops.

Now we are getting ready to elect another nincompoop in November - it may be a democrat or a republican but it will still be a nincompoop.

The Serb camps where a number of people were killed. Genocide wasn’t the correct word for this context. My bad. And as I recall the people in leadership positions responsible for these activities have been held accountable.

If they didn't feel that they were "true Christian churches", couldn't they have at least pretended that they were mosques and defended them instead???

Your typical State Department type doesn't like mosques either, or synagogues, or temples.

The selection standards for employment at State end up giving us a workforce that's either Agnostic or anti-religion.

Been that way since almost the foundations of the Republic were laid.

There are probably some exceptions, but do they get promoted?

As soon as the Serbs find a big-ass oil field, we'll start reporting the serb dead. Until then you're SOL. And this really all does stink to high heaven in a way few things have stunk as bad...

And, I'll keep asking this question until I get a satisfactory answer: Why in the hell did we put ourselves and our children in hock to the Red Chinese and why have we spilled God knows how much American blood onto the sands of Afghanistan and Iraq to keep out Al-Qai'da and then turn around and build them a bridgehead straight into the heart of Eastern Europe?

And as part of the UN resolution that settled the war, we promised to never support independence for Kosovo. Now, all of a sudden we are. In defiance of international law, we are recognizing their independence. And as a consequence, we have sealed the fate of the Serb minority living there.

We need to quit meddling in the affairs of sovereign countries.

Everyone seems to forget that the International Justice Court CLEARED Serbia of genocide charges.

Ruling:

""Serbia has not committed genocide, through its organs or persons whose acts engage its responsibility under customary international law. Serbia has not conspired to commit genocide, nor incited the commission of genocide and has not been complicit in genocide."

The only reason I know this history is because my husband is Serbian...This situation is like the middle East...centuries old feuds that we cannot fix...nor should we have tried. The bottom line is that we sold out our allies to our worst enemies...and that’s unforgivable.

Despite its dearth of coverage, everyone around the world with even half a brain is watching this and asking what it means for them and for their nation's independence and freedom from interference...our interference.

"Was Thursday Attack on US Embassy in Belgrade a Setup?"

That was my question on one of the first threads right after it happened.

Not because I thought that Serbs couldn't have done it. But rather that here you had this incredible display of several hundred thousand Serbs, peacefully demonstrated, with even guys like flim director Emir Kusturica giving these great speeches on the injustice being done. And then the crowd goes to pray at church. I was thinking, how could the world not notice this?

But then a couple hundred looters show up, burned the flag & the embassy, and instead, that's all anybody saw & read about worldwide. The huge peaceful portion of it received no coverage at all. Instead, the Serbs were put on the defensive again, with Condi & Khalilzad hurling accusations at them all.

It just looked like the perfect "set-up". But if it was set up, they committed murder to do it.

"Sorry, most of the people in the State Department really don’t feel Serbian Orthodox churches are “true Christian churches”. That’s why they’ve let them burn."

You know I really find that amazing. As an Orthodox Christian, if I saw Muslims burning down or destroying Baptist churches or 7th Day Adventist churches, it would never cross my mind to say, "Oh well, they aren't really Christian. Too bad, let 'em burn!"

I just don't get that thinking.

This was also sent to me by a friend with family in Belgrade

"The latest from Belgrade is that Zoran Vujovic who died inside the U.S. Embassy was poisoned and burned. The autopsy has shown that he first died of either massive carbon-monoxide or a nerve gas poisoning (his intestinal tract spilled out), and then his body was completely burned in a room that showed much less damage from the fire (for example, a half of a chair next to his body was intact).
The report also says that the Belgrade police is going to request the camera footage from inside the Embassy.

Our embassies are sovereign United States of America territory. Every country in which we have an embassy is guaranteed to be protected by that country. What we witnessed last week is a direct attack against the United States of America by Serbia.

One more terrorist attack on America and our leaders do nothing.
