And since this guy went off script, McCain had to repudiate his language.

If the "script" says that nobody can mention Barack Hussein Obama's name, or even just the middle part of it, the "script" is a loser. We shall see, won't we?

So now who ya gonna blame?

Read my first post, r-tard. I said I blame his staff. Your story makes it even more clear his staff is to blame.

And you want Cunningham to grow up?

Yeah. He got his feelings hurt in public so now he's going to support Hillary. What an effing BABY. There are bigger things at stake here than his ego (and there are few things more fragile than a talk show hosts ego).

BIG BABY.

You can say whatever you want to but the McCain ex officio is not going to try to bait with his middle name.

Behind closed doors, McCain is probably grateful for those tearing into Obama but he needs to keep them at arms length.

Here's a lesson in history for you. 2004. Bush hardly every criticized Kerry. He even dissed the Swifties. But the Swifties got their job done - with Bush donors' money.

You get it now?

You really don't recall the concern about Kennedy being the first Roman Catholic president and fears that the "Church" would exert undue influence on him?

The grumpy old man is a moron

He has painted himself into a corner.

He is not articulate, and has already made mistakes.

He will let loose a doosey sometime before November, and all hell will break loose.

And the constant refrain will be: How is what you said any different than what you called "denigrating"?

Is this how you talk and think in private Senator?

How can we believe you?

He will slip up, and will be accused by the left of doing what they do daily. Hiding his "true feelings". It will be ugly when it happens.

Read my first post, r-tard.

Ahhh.... there is some of that "respect" and "love" from the McCain camp! Yep! That's a real winner. (NOT!)

I said I blame his staff. Your story makes it even more clear his staff is to blame.

Well how about this? YOU said "ALL of the blame for this lies on McCain's staffers for not knowing the host and not giving him a briefing on the company line."

They did brief him. They did know him. And I find it not credible that McCain didn't know damn well, also.

He got his feelings hurt in public so now he's going to support Hillary. What an effing BABY.

Carry on with that "respectful debate." ROFLMAO!

Just when some of us were beginning to think of voting for McCain, he pulls this politically correct crap. It reminds us of who he really is.

Do you forget that McCain has to run against the Democrats AND the drive by media?

Most reasonable Americans will see McCain as taking the high road and that will help him.

Further, the tenor of attacks directed at McCain on this board are truly disappointing. He will be the nominee and we need to support him. No one can reasonably argue that Obama and Clinton would be good for this country. Think about this: McCain supported Bork, Thomas, Scalia, Roberts, and Alito. This support should alone make a reasonable conservative support McCain. The next President will probably get at least 2 appointments. McCain gives us the best opportunity to maintain the conservative momentum on the highest court.

In the actual situation think that McCain and the GOP must clearly understand that CONSERVATIVES ARE WATCHING OUT and will not automatically vote for McCain IF HE IS THE NOMINATE.
The deal must be clear.Electors have that power!Just use it!
Nomination and election are not done!Keep the pressure on McC...

I’m still wondering if McC is really a wanabe democunt loser,a new incarnation of CARTER,or a clever strategist trying to get hispanic and independant votes...and hiding his true face

And you never wonder about if it was a good strategy?
Just think about it!
The strategy should be no attack on Hussein obama?Fine!
Who is the strategist?
It supposes that Hussein O. CAN’T be attacked...?
I have some serious doubdts

No, you can call him whatever you want to. It just makes sense for McCain to not bait him with the 'Hussein' thing.

McCain didn't criticize Cunningham for calling him a liberal - many speakers that day did.

What's your point? The staff still screwed up by not giving him the right line. How can you be so obtuse?

Yes, it's a great strategy. And apparently one you still don't understand.

YOU, Mr. Limbaugh, ANYONE can attack him as 'Black Osama' or whatever you want to call him. But also part of the strategy is that McCain and anyone speaking on behalf of his campaign doesn't throw that kind of mud.

Doubt it and misunderstand it all you want - it worked in 2004.
