Can we ignore Sen. Obama's silence about Muammar Kaddafi?

We know that Louis Farrakhan has said positive things about Barack Obama. And he's not the only one. This is the same Louis Farrakhan who has travelled to Libya to meet with and say positive things about Kaddafi, who has long-standing ties to terrorism.

And that's not all. The former pastor at Obama's church, Jeremiah Wright, has not only said positive things about Farrakhan. In the 1980s, he went on a trip with Farrakhan to ... you guessed it, Libya, to meet with Kaddafi.

With all of Obama's ties to Kaddafi and all Kaddafi's ties to terrorism, not to mention a lot of Muslims and Arabs ... how much longer can Obama stay silent on his relationship to Kaddafi?

Does he support Kaddafi? ... Will he denounce Kaddafi... ?

These questions won't go away.

Pressure, being the operative word there... and watching our "Cowboy" roll out troops right into Saddams places left little doubt of what would happen to him if he did not comply. Not out of his heart, but because of this creatures own survival instinct for his life, unlike the life he tore away from so many others.

He has not accepted personal blame, nor has he been personally held accountable for his actions or faced justice.

Kadaffi hasn’t renounced anything. He got caught with a chinese nuke weapons kit by way of nk and pakistan and had to give up the goods so he didn’t end up like saddam. He still mouths off and will be back to his old ways as soon as hussein obama is President (God forbid).

I noticed the TUCC.org site (Obama’s church — run by Rev. Jeremiah Wright) has been sanitized.

You can’t find a link or even reference to the Trumpet magazine — the one that honored Farrakhan with a lifetime achievement award, and an interview with special emphasis on black empowerment.

The Rev. Wright is retiring in early March. Hmmmm....

The rhetoric there has been toned down too. Gee, I wonder why....

Because of the Minister’s influence in the African American community, Trumpet Newsmagazine honors him this winter at its Sounds of the Shore gala with an Empowerment Award. It seemed a fitting tribute for a storied life well lived. And as our brief interview drew to a close and he thanked me for taking the time to talk to him, I could not help but think, the Minister, the man with whom I had been so casually speaking, truly epitomized greatness.

Which has been mostly due to the actions of Reagan and GWB. Reagan knocked on his door, and GWB reminded him when Saddam was dragged out of his “spider hole”. Kadaffi has not become one of the good guys, but he knows when it is in his best interest to keep a low profile and not make waves.

Gadaffi has learned a few tricks from Arafat, getting into the plausible deniability game (while he runs around N Africa spreading his pan-Afrcian unity BS with his kook brigade of female bodyguards who look like they are straight out of an Austin Powers movie).

For eg:

Saif Al Islam (al Gadaffi), is the son who Gadaffi is thought to be grooming to take over his deranged regime.

Ayman al-Zawahri and Abu Laith (al-Libi) of the FIGL:

"We proclaim our alliance with the Al-Qaeda network... to become the faithful soldiers of Osama Bin Laden,"

It seems the US may not be the only ones Gadaffi will do deals with to save his own skin.

This is BS - - “With all of Obama’s ties to Kaddafi and all Kaddafi’s ties to terrorism” - - the writer does document a single tie Obama has with Khaddafi.

That Wright has a tie, or Farrakhan has a tie - - that’s one thing, but to extend those ties to Obama is stupid.

There is sufficient stuff to prejudice Obama with. These kinds of stories allow Obama and his people to dismiss the real stuff as “they’re all smears.”

It’s what happened with the madrassa story and the swearing in with a Quran story.

Q may be dead before the next president leaves office. The recent rapprochement of Libya with the civilized world (plus Q’s frequent disgust with the Arab League, execution of Moslem religious leaders, Libya’s isolation from its immediate neighbors) isn’t a bad thing. I’ve written this guy twice.

I asked him what “Kenyan documents” he has or has seen that indicate the Obama’s are Arabs.

A also asked him where he gets the 6.5%.

Was Akuma, Barak SR.’s mother, an Arab - - I don’t think so - - I would guess she’s African-Muslim being married to Grampa Husein.

And you have to go back one more generation to get to 6.5% and nobody that I’ve found has gone that far back.

His numbers just don’t add up.

That's what he wanted everyone to think when he was in the crosshairs in 2003 and had been caught obtaining Pak and NK nuke program materials..... he did not want to be taken out like Saddam. BUT there was just a story from Iraq recently about jihad terrorists coming from Libya to Iraq, at least some of them apparently sponsored by one of Gaddafi's sons (don't know how solid the intel is, but that's been in the news in the past couple of weeks). I would not assume Libya is totally out of the terrorism game or the WMD quest without more time and more evidence.

If there does turn out to be a Libyan connection to jihad terrorists in Iraq then it will be time to fry Gaddafir once and for all. He's so much easier to get at than Iran......

I judge Ronald Reagan by his words and deeds, and not those of his son’s.

By no stretch am I comparing Kaddafi to Reagan, but he’s the one running the show, not his son.

If Libya hasn’t changed its ways, then I have no objection to turning it into a parking lot. But I see what has happened there in recent years as a triumph for Bush diplomacy and it will take real evidence to show that this is not the case.

Josh Micah Marshall is such a moron. He meant this entire post as satire--and NO ONE got it! Hilarious. His "satire" may now actually hurt his candidate as thousands of people learn the fact that the Rev. Wright--who married and mentored Obama and baptized his children--visited and praised Quadafi in Libya.

He certainly did. Khaddafi turned over his whole WMD program to Washington. Crated it up and sent it to us. As it turned oyt his wife pressured him to do it after Uday and Qusay (sp?) were killed. Mrs. K had no desire to see her son’s end up that way.
