The Hillary Clinton Myth Unravels At Last
North Star Writers Group ^ | February 28, 2008 | Dan Calabrese

It may be just a wee bit early to say that Hillary Clinton has blown her chance at the Democratic presidential nomination, but it’s not too late to address the exploding amazement of the political pundit class over the ineptness of her campaign. Rarely has a storyline been, in such equal parts, so dominant and fun to read.

How did the Clinton people manage to run such an embarrassingly bad campaign? Inquiring minds want to know.

But it’s really not that hard to figure out. In truth, they had nothing to work with – a problem that was only exacerbated by the fact that they were so thoroughly convinced of the opposite

The buck stops with Hillary and her small-mindedness and her ends-justify-the-means-when-there’s-something-I-want kind of attitude. She’s done it to herself. Schadenfreude—by the truckload.

The next to the best thing about this election is not just Hillary biting the dust, but watching it happen week by week.

Slowly, inexorably, like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

And it is as pleasing to the senses as melting chocolate in the mouth.

But...

The very best thing, is watching the avalanche of her destruction encompass and obliterate Bill as well. And why is it so pleasant to watch?

Because Bill's actions are like a jackass hauling nitroglycerin. His bucking and braying have exploded his mystical/mythical powers.

The Clinton Myth has been exposed. The putrid mendacity at its core has been laid bare.

It remains to be seen just how many will now pay top dollar to hear his egotistical rantings.

I think hillary’s campaign is quite normal for a democrat. The problem with hillary’s campaign is obvious - it’s hillary herself. In a word, she’s unlikable.

She entered the campaign too early and her screeching voice and whining have grated the entire American electorate, even democrats.

People can’t stand the thought of waking up every morning to the exorcist movie in the whitehouse.

Who cares about Hillary?

The MYTH of the Clinton War Room remains, for the “war room” consisted of the MSM/Hollywood/Academia/DNC.

And that war room remains and is simply battling for Hussein now.

No difference, they are all members of the UnAmerican Democrat Party.

And have a monopoly of propaganda myth making.

She ran the USUAL kind of campaign. The kind of campaign that usually works in any election cycle. The difference is the Messianic cult following of Obama. You can’t anticipate it and therefore you can’t change your style of campaign to fight it. This time, the old rules don’t apply.
Hillary would have to be MORE charismatic than Obama to wage an effective campaign.

Even if she manages to steal the primary from Obama, she will win nothing because ALL of the Obama supporters will jump ship.

Frankly, I would have preferred to see her not go down in flames until the Nov election. If Obama had to bow out first, Mrs Clinton would be the much more “beatable” candidate than he in the general election.
Both of them are bad news for this country...it just depends on the most efficient order of knocking them out.

Poorly worked as well.

The concentration on large states was wrong. If the large state splits its delegates, where is the net gain?

Only fitting that a place like Puerto Rico or Vermont should be in a position to determine her fate.

I agree with you. I am not at all sure the country can survive a Clinton, an Obama, OR a McCain presidency-but of the three, I think an Obama regime would be worst. Not only was HRC the more beatable candidate, I believe she would have been (if only marginally) less dangerous for the country as president than BHO.

Back in 1992, it was nauseating for the rest of the legal community to read in the MSM that one of Hildy’s “steriling credentials” was that she had been selected one of the best 100 lawyers in America or whatever.

Basically, she was listed in one of those books where you either nominate yourself and pay $50 for the listing or whatever.

It was gross.

So she was a lawyer! What did she ever do at the Rose Law Firm of any merit! And didn’t she get THAT job because she was the Guvnor’s wife?

Anyway, from the beginning, she has been a fraud and a fraudster. Her comeuppance is well-deserved.

Many, many books will be written on the spectacular and fraudulent rise and fall of the ‘Toons, for now, because of Hildabeast, the Sinkmeister’s ridiculousness also has been exposed. So, in that sense at least, the ‘Toons will finally be good for something-—the economy and academics and punditry.

I was in the audience (by design) back in '99 when she appeared on Letterman during her campaign for her seante seat. It struck me then (and since) that if she really IS the smartest of women, why were her handlers preventing her from answering any spontaneous question from the press? What were they afraid of?

I think we all got the message when Russert asked her to comment on the immigration policies of Gov. Spitzer several months ago. That was the beginning of the end for Her Heinous. She's no deep thinker.

Absolutely.

The Clear and Present Danger of Hillary is almost destroyed. When it is, the light of exposure will most definitely need to be retrained on Obama.

In a discussion the other night, my answer to whether the country would elect the first black to the Presidency:

"If the country elects Obama as its first black President, I fear that it will also have elected it's last President."

We survived Jimmy Carter, whose raging hatred for the country continues to this day. And Good Things happened after he was timed out. We remember wood fires, sweaters, and gas rationing lines, the "Misery Index", the humiliation in the Desert, and double-digit inflation.

We survived Pearl Harbor and 9-11, so we can survive another emotional moron.

There is no comparison between Carter and Obama. Carter was just a bumbling clown, when you came down to it. Obama is smart, charismatic, and learned at the feet of the socialist master Saul Alinsky. The worst in Carter’s background was scratching around in the Georgia dirt growing peanuts. Put a smart, charismatic socialist in the WH for four years, with a free hand from Congress (if the ‘Rats retain both chambers, which they likely will), you won’t recognize the country after that disaster. And forget about “coming back” in ‘10 or ‘12. Alinsky tells you how to deal with that prospect.

Yes...and couple that with the obvious aging that she's done over the past few months, showing she's not up to the task.

The curious thing about the Witch, as opposed to Obama, is that the Clintons’ total corruption and opportunism would actually make them less dangerous in the WH than Obama. Their defects are actually virtues, compared to him, because they’d be wiling to make reasonable compromises to keep the economy and country going, while Obama and his evil wife are likely to engage in an orgy of anti-American destruction and Mugabeite “change” for the pure fun of it.
