AHMADABAD, India A newborn baby girl fell through the toilet in a moving train and onto the tracks moments after her mother prematurely gave birth, surviving nearly two hours before being found, relatives said Thursday.

"Later, she fell unconscious and the baby fell through the toilet," he continued. "Two stations later, we knocked at the door."
Bhuri opened the door, soaked in blood.
I think there are some things I just don’t need to know.
And this is one of them.
That’s completely bizarre.
Passengers will please refrain
From having babies while the train
Is standing in the station, I love you.
As I sit here tearing tissue
Oh, my darling, how I miss you
Everything I do, I do for you...
Having lived in Kolkata for a few years and understanding the local ways, I’d wager that she did it on purpose. Having a female child is a HUGE burden in India b/c of marriage/dowry and other issues.
I just want to know, is there just a hole in the floor, and the waste mearly drops to the tracks?
so the “toilet” is just an open hole to the tracks? Nice. I bet it keeps people from wandering onto the tracks.
Yes, it’s a hole that you squat over, Asian-style. Not fun, especially with the train rocking back and forth, believe me. Takes some getting used to.
We encourage constipation while the train is in the station.
Moonlight always makes me think of you.

Not to mention the rocks kicking up... (!)
Ouch!!!
The baby will grow up tough as nails. She could be a future PM.
So in other words, there is s_it on the tracks, far from hygenic.
“MOON-light???”
Mondo bizarro ping...
When I lived in Germany and Austria back in the early 80’s it was the same way. The toilets on the trains in Germany and Austria just dumped onto the tracks. There were signs in all the train toilets that said to not use the toilet while the train was in the station. But once rolling, when you flushed the toilet, a flap at the bottom opened up and you could see the cross-ties speeding past. The hole was clearly big enough for a new-born baby to fall through. I would hate to have lived near the tracks.
