Obama would almost certainly attempt to do away with the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy on gays and lesbians - and order that open homosexuals be accomodated (and protected) in that military.
This would effectively mean the end of our military.
It would be also counter to what most gays and lesbians currently serving in the military want. They have no desire to flaunt their sexual status. They are serving honorably at this time, as they have in the past, and oftentimes with distinction.

Those who still thinks Obama can beat McCain need to have their heads examined. While McCain may not be the conservative favorite, this kind of pronouncement will bring out Christian conservative in record numbers.
