McCain still needs more than 300 pledged delegates to lock up the nomination:

GOP support for Huckabee remains stable near 30 percent nationwide:

Sit down, Mike.
“Mike Huckabee needs to ‘Man Up’ and take his defeat like a man.”
You’re saying he ought to become an unprincipled quitter like you.
Miracles only happen when GOD causes them to happen, and his miracle is history.
How about if McCain gets his nomination and people like you come to get our votes, we sit down then?
McCain wasn’t one of my top three choices a couple of months ago. However, Huckabee didn’t make the top five. I’ve seen Huckabee in person on the campaign trail several times. It didn’t take long to notice he has spent way too long studying the Clinton play book of politics.
You can go vote for Barack Hussein Obama for all I care.
I agree. He's long since done. He is helping no one by staying in, not even himself.
Kurt dont get into it with the above fools. Mike is the best man and alot of losers want less than what is good and right.USA of America, well its about 50-50 wrong and right with about 65% trying to appease those who are wrong but I think Mike is one fine man and he will prove to be for the good of this country despite the fools.- Pro-Life Leadership (instead of begrudging lip service) - Pro-1st Amendment (against McCain-Feingold) - Pro-2nd Amendment (Americas first Conceal & Carry Permit Governor) - Pro-10th Amendment - Pro-Sovereignty, Anti-Globalist/Corporatist control - Pro-Israel (no land giveaways for false peace) - Pro-Marriage - Pro-Overwhelming Defense - Pro-Border Security & Immigration Enforcement (no amnesty pledge, plus pledge to Sen. Sessions criteria) - Small Government Fiscal Conservative - Pro-American Business - Pro-Opportunity - Pro-Wage Earner - Pro-Limited Government (signed no tax increase pledge) - Pro-Tax Reform - Pro-Personal Investment - Pro-Individual Healthcare Empowerment - Pro-Private/Home Education

Wow. What soaring rhetoric. Why it’s almost... Obamaesque.
What the heck does it mean?
Rintense on Free Republic Ad to Huckabee: ‘Shut Up.’
Does Huckabee at any point bother to mention the name of the fellow he’s running against. Usually people running for office tend to do that at some point.
Keep your head up, Kurt.
If I’d favored a flip-flopping panderer, a thrice-married pro-choicer, or a dead guy, I’d probably be bitter too.
Sucks to be them.
Mike Huckabee? Is he still around? How quaint. :D
“Keep your head up, Kurt.”
You too. Thanks for the encouragement.
Even if Senator John McCain were to pass away between now and the Minneapolis GOP convention, Governor Mike Huckabee would NOT be the nominee. Someone like Governor Tim Pawlenty will be brought in as a compromise candidate.
I can’t vote for you next week Mike so....I’ll early vote for you tomorrow and hopefully get 5 other people to do so too.
I supported Fred as the best until he dropped out. At that point, Huckabee was the sole remaining candidate worthy of my vote in Tennessee and he received it. If I would not vote for someone in the primary, my new rule is that I will not vote for them in the general.
Who would have thought that we would see
A choice as weak as Huckabee?
Another Clinton, who when pressed,
Will not defend the brave, free West.
"Fools rush in," it's often said.
But wimpy men can make us dead.
Go away, Mike.
That's 5.
I know my daughters boyfriend and his family will vote for Him Tuesday, and that's a bunch. Probably about 12 more. We have discussed this quite a bit and we want to send McCain a message. Hunter was my first choice, then Thompson. I don't want to just throw my vote away on someone not even running, so it's Huckabee.
I just hope it's enough to keep McCain humble. If its 70% to 30%, You won't be able to wipe that grin off McPains pie hole. He believes he doesn't need Christian conservatives and he can count on RINO's and crossover Dems to win. We will have Kennedy and Clinton in the White house more than Republicans if McCain wins.
Everyone has to keep cool and fair!
Republicans and furthermore conservatives should not behave like fanatic demonrats, obsama’s worshippers!
The Republican nominee will have to gather all the sensible americans who don’t want to see their great country go downward in a dangerous world...
Good luck,good job
No problems with what you said. I credit you with not being bitter (or holding a grudge) like some of the others.
I acknowledge that keeping McCain from (or voting Huckabee into) the nomination is unlikely, but I also say that a vote of conscience counts.
I will vote for Huckabee in NC on May 5, whether it alters the outcome or not. In the meantime, I’ll be watching the angry mob spew. If they think I’m wasting my time, they don’t realize the irony in their posts knocking Huckabee.

"Thank you for coming by......give a big hand for Mike Hucksterbee.......thank you for being here......thanks for stopping by.......uh Governor......we're through with you now.......please......good bye.......go away.........security?.....
I thank God that the Founding Fathers of this country were not quitters - like so many GOP robots voicing their rehearsed rhetoric here in this post!
Of all the anti-Huck rhetoric about him, I never hear any substantiative opposition to any of his Conservative positions as outlined on:
http://www.mikehuckabee.com/?FuseAction=Issues.Home
It’s always a bunch of juvenile, drive-by comments. So those of you that profess to be so conservative, let me ask you this:
If you believe that Huckabee isn’t really that conservative, then what would you consider McCain? (those of you who haven’t had the McCain chip planted in your brain yet by the GOP can answer this... ) Please outline in what area McCain is the better choice on the issues???
Don’t buy into the electability (The Karl Rove steal your real vote) argument!
Neither of them do, but they arrive sweaty & out of breath from hurrying to your threads to annoy & disrupt.
The problem with the Huckster is not that he's unelectable; it's that he already lost.
sw
Mike Huckabee will be on Hannity and Colmes tonight. Coming up.

Ohio - Republicans McCain 62% Huckabee 19% Paul 8% Someone else 5% Not sure 6%
I know that the odds are against him, but what do you mean he has already lost? McCain needs to get around 70% of the remaining bounded delegates to clinch the nomination (I know the mainstream media, often considered McCain’s base, has spun the math in a bunch of different ways). It is most likely going to go into a brokered convention, and hey, Abraham Lincoln had gotten the nomination this way and I think at least another president or two. So why couldn’t it happen again?
Here are some numbers I saw on another post ...
Here are the bound and unbound totals as of 2/14/2008 .....McCain has 796 bound and 18 unbound delegates.
.
Now lets do some math:
McCain needs 395 bound delegates to reach 1191 of the remaining states:
.
Texas - 137 bound and 3 unbound
Ohio - 88 UNBOUND
South Dakota - 24 bound and 3 unbound
Wisconsin - 37 bound and 3 unbound
Vermont - 17 bound
Idaho - 26 bound and 6 unbound
Hawaii - 20 bound
Pennsylvania - 74 UNBOUND
Oregon - 27 bound and 3 unbound
Puerto Rico - 20 bound and 3 unbound
North Carolina - 69 bound
Indiana - 27 bound and 30 UNBOUND
Kentucky - 45 bound
Mississippi - 36 bound and 3 unbound
Rhode Island - 17 bound and 3 unbound
Nebraska - 30 bound and 3 unbound
New Mexico - 29 bound and 3 unbound
.
There are 561 bound delegates left of which Mr. McCain must win 71% of to reach 1191.....now when was the last time he won with 71% of the vote?
Now Huck will probably win Nebraska, Kentucky, Mississippi, and South Dakota.......if this happens, then McCain would have to win just about every remaining delegate, and that is not likely to happen.
Basically, McCain would almost have to run the board of the other states to win......not likely.
THE MSM IS LUMPING BOTH BOUND AND UNBOUND IN THEIR TOTALS.......VERY MISLEADING
So, as you can see, Huck is still in the race. It is not over yet. The media is lying to you. Don’t buy into it. Furthermore, McCain has backed out of a debate with Huckabee that was scheduled for end of February because he is afraid to let the public see Huckabee in action. In addition, McCain is running into possible money problems to finance his campaign due to limitations on campaign financing introduced into law by his own doing! Won’t it be interesting to see how the “straight shooter” gets around this one?????
If any of you think that you can support Huck instead of McCain - then make your vote count. Do what you believe and don’t give up.
The man is so dumb he thinks he’s still running against Romney, whom he repeatedly continues to sneer at. He actually thinks this will convince Romney voters to get behind him. What a moron.
Are there any serious McCain positions he's opposed to? Huck acts like he's McCain plus 1%. Big deal. It's up to him to paint the differentiation. But he's too busy making snide remarks about Romney (still).
First, was sorta for Thompson,
Then I was sorta for Romney,
Now I'm sorta for McCain,
I thought about Huck, but he doesn't like me much. ---But then, neither does McCain.

This primary is FAR from over. Mike Huckabee can STILL win this thing. Actually....it's NOT about the primary at all. It's about making our voices heard. It's about the Constitutional right of every American to have a fresh squirrel in every American popcorn popper....
Wow. That makes him even dumber than I thought. Would you mind posting a link where an anti-Romney sneer is referenced?
Strange math is the kind of math that says he has no chance ... maybe a few people should crack open their old 6th grade math books for a refresher!
The sniff, sniff - is that the sound of more coke going up the nose?
>> He doesn’t know when to sit down and shut up...go home Mike. It’s so over..sniff, sniff.
