“...Have I missed anything?”
Yes. -LIME! About 15 tons might do...
They won’t divorce. There’s too much money in this ‘marriage’ for both of them.
If(WHEN) she loses, she’ll do what Bill is doing - go on speaking tours at 50-100k a pop. And then they continue to try to figure out how to get control again somehow. Even if they have to use Chelsea. That wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
“They also have a head to head poll regarding the general election that suggests if Hillary is the nominee McPain wins and if Obama is the nominee we all lose.”
Correction: If Obama is the nominee the Dems lose...BIG TIME.
Anyone who has followed this election and the completely worthless polls knows that these phony polls eight months before an election mean nothing. I think there is no doubt Clinton would be the stronger nominee. She would likely win all the states Kerry won in 2004 and have a decent chance to flip Ohio. I think McCain would beat her but I am far from certain about it.
Obama is going to lose better than a quarter of the Dems, including socially conservative Dems, the so called Reagan Democrats who are pivotal in Macomb County Michigan and in Pennsylvania. He will not be able to hold the upper Midwest, and I think he is likely to lose Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Michigan. I think the close states that went for Kerry 2004, including Wisconsin, Minnesota and New Hampshire are likely to go to McCain. I think McCain has a real chance, maybe even a good one, to defeat Obama in California in which case this is going to be a blowout of epic proportions, which will cost the Demos control of both houses of Congress. Obama has no such opportunity with McCain.
Every Republican in Texas should pull the lever for Obama.
Since it's Hillary, maybe we shouldn't be so conservative.......let's triple it!
LOL. Yes, another good possibility.
Guliani should run against her for her senate seat next time she is up for re-election.
Hopefully this buries Bill also.
As long as there’s an intern running free somewhere...
“After the election divorce. (But I dont know who will file for it first: Bill or Hill.)”
The ain’t gonna’ be no divorce. Married couples (in this case, put parentheses around Married couples) cannot be forced to testify against each other in a court of law. Hence, they’ll never have to spill the beans on their spouse’s numerous felonies committed before and during their White House stay: murder, looting a dead man’s office, perjury, suborning perjury, rape, sexual assault, theft of government owned property, illegal cattle futures trading, libel, slander, etc.
T’ain’t gonna’ be no divorce!
and the body hung in the public square until the bones are picked dry by the buzzards.
I’ve been very curious about why she’s running this ‘who do you want answering the phone at 3am’ line.
I don’t see where she’s any better than Obama in an international crisis. If anything, dim voters will see it as a Hillary weakness since she voted for the Iraq war. But if you include McCain as an option in that question, I believe most people would pick McCain over either dim.
It looks like she’s raising an issue that doesn’t give her much of an edge over Obama, but would hurt either of them in a match-up with McCain. Could it be that she’s already resigned to losing the primary, but wants McCain to win the general so she’s set up to run again in 2012?
Good point!
Divorce from Bill. Count on it.
Should she loose to BHO, and God forbid he became president, Hilary will simply have lost the battle and not the war. She'd retreat to the Senate where she would proceed to undermine him in every way possible over the ensuring four years in order to render him vulnerable to a political challenge by none other than herself. So you're right, she's far from being done.
Your excerpt misses the point of the story, which is later on: She’ll still be a Senator, and she’ll be vying for a leadership position in a Majority party in the Senate. I personally doubt she’ll divorce Bill, his speeches bring too much money into the household, and he still enjoys the trappings of power, even if she’s “only” a Senator.
