I said that if I told you where I had been as a submariner in the cold-war I would have to shoot you. It's true you contemptible lout, and if you were a true fighting man with any respect for yourself and others you would know that fact.

So go take on someone the size of your pea brain, but leave the submarine force out of your miserable slanders. We have as proud a tradition as the Marines, and have no beef with Marines at all. If you were one, you would have the pride to show respect for yourself and others.

And next time I see you try this line on this forum I will come after you and take you down again, you disgraceful impostor. And maybe some of my submariner friends on this forum would like to know what a contemptible disgrace you are to our armed forces as well."

Mr. Robinson, I would appreciate it if you would remind "Andy Jackson" of the rules on Free Republic. I have neither the time or the inclination to deal with libelous posts much less personal insults. "Andy Jackson" has been "dogging me" for days with posts filled with personal insults and now he libels me. I have been ignoring the posts since "Andy Jackson" started posting personal insults but when someone libels me that is when they "step over the line!" Enough!

And Marines aren't liars either. This started in post 19 where you indulged in insults and name calling rather than address the issue that you yourself put on the table.

J.H.C.! Will the two of you both give it a rest? For a couple of old-time FReepers, both of you seem to be like two guys in bar that have had one wee dram to many.

AndyJackson: if you actually ARE a submariner, you remind of the pipsqueak in the same bar who would pick a fight with some skimmers ... or some jarheads, then pray to your shipmates to 'get your back'! Why are you dragging other boat sailors into personal disagreement? None of us has a dog in this particular fight.

And kellynla: Remember that 'sailors' (FMF corpsmen) took care of YOUR butts when they got bloodied - those same corpsmen served independent duty taking care of submariners. The Marines and the Army got all the ink in 'Nam, but before, during and after that conflict neither you nor the public at large have any concept about the reality of what went down for the 'Silent Service' in that era.

Andy, you’re pretty reasonable guy. For an officer. :) Don’t let yourself get baited. You’ll never be able to tell the story of those medals you weren’t allowed to wear, ever. Only your shipmates know, and that’s going to have to be good enough.

Kelly, inter-service rivalry is something that I enjoy just as much as the next guy. But the thing is you’re not kidding; you’re just being nasty. You served bravely and honorably. You don’t have to prove it by denigrating those of us who served in other ways.

This is my final say on this topic and on this thread. Replies will be neither read nor answered.
