Even in S. Korea, many small pizza parlors are on the verge of going out of business.

It’s time to market a pizza with no crust.
I give to you “Pizza in a Cup!”

"Making matters worse, he said, is an already slowed demand for traditional pizzas."
Wouldn't this reduce wheat demand?

Well the FDA estimates that wheat ends up as an ingredient in 95%-97% of the products in a random grocery store. Pizza alone isn’t going to change demand, especially considering the Indians and Chinese can now suddenly afford “luxuries” like bread.

The trouble is that some upscale Chinese developed the taste for cheese, via pizza. We are all suffering from it.
So much for a "wonderful" billion-men Chinese market. Who knew that commodity brokers benefit from it more than anybody else?

Sawdust is very filling.
Didn’t they try that one during the depression?

Does this mean the end of $5.00 pizzas? Absolutely not! A smart franchise owner can provide a high quality "Cup of Pizza" for less then $5 per unit!

There are times when being gluten intolerant isn't half bad. I can't eat wheat, but that means people who can't afford wheat are going to be competing for stuff that I can eat.

I read somewhere that BY FAR the most common organic substance on earth is something in front of us everyday.
Tons of energy. Billions of tons. But because of the way it is used, it resists most biology that could break it down.
Cellulose.
