BATTLE OF San Jacinto. SanJac was a CVL Carrier (cvl-30)
with service in PACIFIC THEATRE; Saipan, June, ‘44 to
end of war...GHW Bush was 19yr. old pilot on ship, and
was shot down and rescued by Submarine..think it was
in Sept., ‘44. ** All Carriers in WWll- were named
after a war battle with our Country...think Yorktown was
first one??? Am sure there are better Historians and
Veterans with better memory than me.. ??? JK

This may be a precedent for California to declare independence from the U.S.A. when Mexicans outnumber Gringos. Note tagline.

“3rd Seal. 4 Reales. Validated by the Mexican Nation for the year of 1824.”

The above is the beginning of the deed to my family’s first Province of Texas land holding, 13 years prior to Texas Independence. I’m looking at the deed right now, on this auspicious day. The signatures at the end of the document:

Estevan F. Austin
El Baron de Bastrop

Attendant Witnesses

John Austin
Samuel M. Williams

Those Brave Men who fought for Texas Independence must be mad as hell at this current generation of Americans.

Is it also true that when Texas became part of the United States, there was a provision that the state of Texas could break into as many as seven states? I think my father told me this a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
