How does The Mike Huckabee Show sound?
As Mr. Huckabees campaign plotted a concession speech on Tuesday, some analysts suggested that viewers would see the longshot Republican presidential candidate on television again very soon.
On the MSNBC program Morning Joe, the Republican strategist Mike Murphy predicted Mr. Huckabee would suspend his campaign, hire excellent agents, and begin negotiations for a cable TV talk show, all within the next 10 days.
Weve got a chair here he could fill, the co-host Mika Brzezinski remarked.
Later in the day on MSNBC, the anchor Contessa Brewer joked that the jovial Mr. Huckabee could join the cast of the VH1 pop culture show Best Week Ever.

If I want to see reruns of Gomer I’ll just turn to TV Land.
Oh, the humanity.
He already filled it a long time ago and thank goodness the voters flushed the stool.
Thank you, Mike Huckabee for standing up for America.
The Mike Huckabee Show sounds wonderful to me. May the inspiration continue! Let’s share some ideas of format. First thought coming to mind is a daytime talk show that my mom used to enjoy back in the 60’s. The host’s name was Mike also. I can’t think of the last name. He was a nice guy and it was a pleasant show to watch. Bring back pleasant television! I can’t stand watching TV anymore.
I turn to Andy Griffith when 2008 is just too weird.
Hang on to that thought. You “ain’t” seen nothing yet.
Huckabee stayed in the race to pimp his book and to get a job. Look for him to be on T.V. as some televangelist or commentator.
The Mike Douglas show.....that was the format I was thinking of.....

And bring back Huckleberry Hound cartoons....I enjoyed those too!

MIKE DOUGLAS, THAT WAS IT.....
“For two decades, Mike Douglas’s name was synonymous with television entertainment in America. The Mike Douglas Show, which aired each weekday, became the prototype for all future talk shows that sought to combine spontaneous conversation - on virtually any subject - with the best in entertainment. In those twenty years and more than four thousand shows, virtually all the great performers - actors, singers, comics - and many outstanding sports figures and prominent statesmen, Presidents included, appeared with Mike, performing and chatting informally in front of the show’s many millions of viewers.”
Sounds fantastic, as long as it only airs in Arkansas.
Squirrel cooking tips, perhaps?
“I turn to Andy Griffith when 2008 is just too weird.”
Me, too!! It’s a nice escape, isn’t it? Andy Griffith, I Love Lucy and Leave It to Beaver are my favorites!
The Mike Huckabee Show
Should be entitled: “Elmer Gantry” or “The Dope from Hope”
“He already filled it a long time ago and thank goodness the voters flushed the stool”
You must live in Arkansas :-D
