Clinton Hints At Sharing Ticket With Obama

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton hinted at the possibility of a democratic "dream ticket" with Sen. Barack Obama.

Speaking on the Early Show on CBS, Clinton said "that may be where this is headed, but we have to decide who is on the top of the ticket."

Clinton said the race between her and Obama remains "incredibly close," with just "smidgens of difference" between them.

Clinton's remarks after her campaign won two big states yesterday: Ohio and Texas. She also won Rhode Island. The wins enabled her campaign to break Obama's 12-state winning streak and pick up some momentum of its own.

Speaking later on the Early Show, Obama congratulated Clinton on her victories while maintaining he would be able to wrap up the democratic nomination.

"We still have close to an insurmountable lead in delegates," Obama said. Obama said his campaign had won nearly twice as Clinton as well as a greater share of the popular vote.

I've been saying this from the start. If the dems have a Hitlery/Osama ticket then McInsane is toast, because there's enough googoo-eyed idiot Dhummies that will vote in droves to elect the first woman/black ticket just because it will be viewed by the world as SOOOO progressive.

I too have been warning of that possibility. Only wish Rush made mention when urging crossover votes.

Obama is leading in the delegate count and it is somewhere between arithmetically improbableand impossible for Clinton to win the nomination, no matter what happens. Obama will put her on the ticket just so Bubba can soil that nice new carpet that W put in the Oval Office when he arrived? Both Obama and Clinton have 48% negatives. That would be like trying to swim in lead boots. Obama can't be that dumb, although Hillary might be that delusional.

I don’t see either one after all the crap that’s gone on recently, bowing down to the ego of the other one, just for the sake of party unity.

I just hope and pray that the dems shed enough blood and sling enough crap at each other in a brokered convention, and it appears that Hitlery has stolen the nomination from Osama, so that it disgusts enough of the older idiot Dhummies to stay home and not vote to swing the election towards the GOP.

We’ll still have the crazy, crotchety old McInsane as President to contend with, but hopefully the VP will be more conservative in case Mc's health doesn't hold up, plus hopefully we can affect mid-term elections enough to counter-balance him somewhat. It’s not likely, but I have to hang my last thread of hope on something.

I don’t know if I’d like Hillary on top.

That would make it a real screw up.

Only wish Rush made mention when urging crossover votes.

I'm really surprised we haven't heard Rush and other conservative talking heads warn of this scenario in order to energize the conservative voting base. It's like 1991 and the party is sleep-walking through the election again.

I don't think Rush made any difference in this Democratic ticket. It was a given from the start. The Democratic Primary was just to see which one would do better as POTUS. McCain is toast.

I'm betting my Peso's that it will be Hill/Osama as that way, they would have the next 12 to 16 yrs sewed up.
