The total of McCain and Huckleby votes in Ohio yesterday were approximately 955,000.
The total of Obama and Clinton votes in Ohio yesterday were approximately 2,150,000.
Clinton won by approximately only 227,000 votes.
Where were the Republicans? Did at least 227,000 Republicans crossover yesterday and vote for Hillary?
In Texas, Clinton won by approximately only 98,000 votes. There in Texas there was also a much smaller number of Republicans voting for McCain and Huckleby. It's sure very reasonable to think that at least 98,000 Republicans crossed over in Texas.
Did the Republican voters keep Hillary in the race?

Dick Morris was encouraging people to cross over to vote for Obama. He was saying the Clintons are so corrupt and immoral they are too dangerous to have such power.
Rush said it was good to cross over to vote for Hillary because anything that keeps them disorganized and fighting is good. He said don’t believe the MSM, his sources say that the Dems are in a civil war and terribly upset.
Rove last night said that it could be good, it could be bad. It’s good because yes, the Dems cannot focus their effort, and are disorganized and fighting. But it also keeps them on the front page while McCain goes to page 3.
There you have it - three intelligent, experienced pundits with three totally different takes. It’ll be interesting to see whose right.
My guess is if Obama’s not on the ticket, the Dem blacks, who have been programmed to view themselves as victims of racism, will be furious at the Dem party - that could fracture the party. So I guess I’ll go with Rush. Of course, there may be a Clinton Obama ticket.
Obama’s momentum was a sudden surge. What was frightening was how vaccuous the support was. There was no “there” there.
And the socialists were already getting in line to take their support “to the streets” with midnight postering campaigns.
I hope so. Let Hillary and Obama flail away at each other for a while longer.
I seriously doubt that any campaign by Rush netted Hillary 90,000 votes in either race. For what it is worth, exit polls showed most of the crossover vote went to Obama.

There's one major red state that will be going blue in November, and with it, a probable electoral college lock for the Democrat.
Not at the risk of keeping a Clinton family member in the political scene today. We need to get rid of them ASAP. They destroy everything in which they are involved. We need to cleanse the coutnry of their presence.

The Demcrats were having a closely contested primary. The Republican nominee was unquestionably to be McCain.
Knowing this, why would Democrats choose not to help decide THEIR contest, crossover and vote for a Republican that was bound to win it anyway?

Despite James Carvill’s waggish “There’s a name for a candidate who relies on the youth vote: a loser.” I’m afraid Obamamania among the young would translate into votes in the fall, and worse into a generation of fairly committed left-voters.
Besides RealClearPolitics has McCain up on Hillery by fractional percentage points, while losing to Obama by over 4%.
Not that I really have a dog in the fight: I wish all three of them could lose.

Obama would make a worse pres than Hillary. He's certainly no better. If McCain is going to win he needs cross over votes from the rats. Keeping Hillary in causes the rats to fight internally.
Plus if Hillary wins because of Superdelegate you could have a mass black protest vote against Hillary.
Yes, I expect so. I confess I would not know if it was a good idea or not. But I think it happened.
1. The Republican race was already decided, no competition left against McCain, so a vote on that line would only have been symbolic.
2. Some may have voted against Obama because they don’t want a black president. This could include some Hispanic Republicans.
3. Some may have voted for hillary to keep the race alive.
4. Some may have voted for hillary as the lesser of two evils.
I’m not sure if I agree with any of these reasons. Keeping the race alive probably won’t make that much difference. And I am completely unsure which of those two is worse. They are both unbelievably bad. I personally think Obama is worse, but his machine may not be as powerful as hers, so that evens it out.
I don’t know about Ohio, but in Texas exit polls showed that Republicans who voted Democrat went roughly 52-48 for Hillary, and represented 9% of the votes cast. In that instance I would say that they MAY have made a difference.
Given the size of Hillary’s win in Ohio, I doubt that the Republicans handed her the win.
