Man Jumps to Death From Courthouse Hours After Child Molestation Conviction
Fox News ^ | 3/5/08

SANTA ANA, Calif. — A 52-year-old man jumped to his death from a Southern California courthouse balcony hours after being convicted of child molestation, authorities said.

Carlos Edward Tello was facing more than 20 years in prison when he jumped from a ninth-floor balcony of the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana Tuesday afternoon. A suicide note was tucked into his clothing, authorities said.

Superior Court Judge Greggory Prickett declined to revoke Tello's bail, instead ordering him to return to the Fullerton courtroom by 4:30 p.m.

Just after 4 p.m. at the Santa Ana courthouse, an alarm sounded that someone had entered a restricted area, said Orange County Sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino.

A bailiff found Tello standing on the balcony and tried to wrestle him away from the edge, said police Cpl. Jose Gonzalez.

"He said, 'Nobody's stopping me,"' Amormino said, "and he jumped."

Tello died at the scene.

I thank him for saving us taxpayers the expense of feeding and housing him for the next couple decades. Now if only other babyrapers would be so considerate upon conviction....

Hard to say that a child molester "at least died an honorable death".

OTOH, he could have saved someone a lifetime of heartache if he had jumped off a building before he molested a child.

I heartily endorse the former Mr. Tello’s method of dealing with his conviction. Well done you evil, vile monster.

Especially when they found a suicide note on him before.

Well, justice is served and the children of California are safer now and in the future.

No corrupt governor will be releasing this piece of sh*t back on the streets to prey on the innocents again.

This just brightened my day.

The story is not so much he committed suicide.

The real story is here:

Superior Court Judge Greggory Prickett declined to revoke Tello's bail, instead ordering him to return to the Fullerton courtroom by 4:30 p.m.

Was this man guilty? I’ve heard of some people being found guilty who were in fact wrongly accused. If he was truly guilty, that’s one thing. But if he was wrongly accused, that’s another thing altogether.

I isn’t the area that is restricted, it is the door. It is now a emergency exit and is alarmed and exits onto a balcony and stairs.
It used to be just a regular door

No corrupt governor will be releasing this piece of sh*t back on the streets to prey on the innocents again.

That was my first reaction. No "fnding Jesus", then getting a pro bono liberal legal team to petition for release, then getting pardoned - only to repeat the offense later on. All those involved would just shrug their shoulders and say "Oops!" and then look for the next new convert to release.
