It’s time Israel evacuated Gaza of all women and children under 12 then wipe everyone remaining out.

There are conflicting reports on what exactly is going on,
It seem that two terrorists entered the building and opened fire at random.

Pandemonium is rife in the buiding
Official figures are not confirming any deaths.
but..
There are reports of upto 10 bodies in the building.
another “eyewitness” says 8 dead including two terrorists.

I’m watching Israeli TV and translating, its a very liquid situation. There are over 50 ambulances on the scene.

Merkaz HaRav is the yeshiva of National Religious Zionism.

It’s not near the Western Wall. It’s right at the entrance to Jerusalem, a few blocks before the central bus station.

Special police units reached the neighborhood and sealed off surrounding streets and began combing the area for additional terrorists as other special units entered the building to search each room for additional terrorists that may be hiding out there. Initial reports claim at least two terrorists were involved in the attack, both were killed and one reportedly wore a bomb belt.

Yerah Toker of the Hatzelah Rescue services said terorists from inside the yeshiva building fired at the emergency squads who reached the site to treat the wounded. Magen David ambulances sent to the site have evacuated the wounded to hospitals.

Jerusalem mayor Uri Lupoliansky described the situation as a sad sad day for Jerusalem. The municipality he said has set up a special situation room to assist and give out necessary details to family members seeking an update on the situation. Lupoliansky also took the opportunity to call on the government to complete the construction of the security barrier surrounding Jerusalem, in order to prevent terrorists from entering the capital.

Unconfirmed reports claim the terrorists were dressed as yeshiva students.

They were probably looking for a kindergarden.

***In Gaza City, residents went out into the streets and fired rifles in celebration in the air after hearing news of the attack on the seminary.***

The Palestinians are rabid animals and should be treated as such.

"This is God's vengeance," blared a loudspeaker in a Gaza City mosque.

Sad! It’s time to call out another hit squad like the one in “Munich” to track these murdering suckers down and blow the palis away.

Yitzhak Dadon, a student, said he was armed with a rifle and waited on the roof of a nearby building.

"He came out of the library spraying automatic fire. ... The terrorist came to the entrance and I shot him twice in the head," he said.

Medic Yaron Tzuker said he arrived as the gunfire was still going on.

"They were still shooting when we got here," he told Channel 10 TV. "We took cover and the ambulance was hit. It's horrible inside — dead bodies and wounded — it's horrific."

I’m not sure where the actual attack took place, but...

This Yeshiva is 2 blocks north and 1km from the front steps of Supreme Court, and 3 blocks north 1.3km from the front steps of the Knesset. The Yeshiva is 1 block away from the Israel Convention Center, 2 blocks from the premier high school in the center of Israel, Givat Ram high school, and 3 blocks from Givat Ram University.
You can’t get any closer to the heart of Israeli society.

Anything less than vicious retribution is going to topple the Olmert government.

Again I’m not sure where exactly on Ben Dor street they are, I think the numbers start at 1 Ben Dor to the East, and increase as you move west...

The Palestinian Hamas movement hailed a deadly attack on a Jewish religious school in Jerusalem on Thursday night as "heroic," without claiming responsibility for the strike that killed eight.

This is horrible! Please update this because more people have been killed. We used to live near there. I remember how awesome the davening at Mirkaz haRav was on the Shabbos after Purim when it was on a Friday one year, just like it is this year. This is devastating.

The Temple Mount and the Western Wall are within the Old City. The Old City is one small part of the City of Jerusalem, and it is surrounded by a wall with a series of gates.

The city of Jerusalem, overall, is accessible by only a few highways, and where one of those highways leads into Jerusalem from the west is called colloquially the “entrance to Jerusalem” or the “main entrance to Jerusalem”. It is where buses, and most taxicabs, enter into Jerusalem from Tel Aviv and other cities along the coastal plain, and it is a few miles from the Old City, which is further east.

This is the location where the Rav Kook Yeshiva is located.
