Terri Schiavo's Family Launches New Radio Program on Protecting the Disabled

Tampa, FL (LifeNews.com) -- The foundation that Terri Schiavo's family created after her death is continuing its efforts to help the elderly and disabled obtain appropriate medical care. The foundation is launching a new radio program on a Tampa station that will be simulcast on the Internet and later expanded to other Florida stations.

The Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation will start the new America's Lifeline program this weekend life from the Tampa studios of Talk Radio 860 WGUL, a Christian station.

Prominent radio health care advocate Cary Hall will co-sponsor the program along with Terri's brother Bobby Schinder and her sister Suzanne Vitadamo, the foundation's directors.

Hall is also the host of a successful radio show called The Health Insurance Advocate which broadcasts from two Midwest stations.

"America's Lifeline is something we've wanted to do for some time," Vitadamo told LifeNews.com on Thursday.

"With Cary Hall's health care expertise my family's experience trying to save Terri, and now running her foundation which works to save those like Terri, we'll be able to educate Americans and raise awareness about the euthanasia movement like never before," she added.

Vitadamo said the program would focus on controversial cases of people who have been subjected to potential euthanasia or denial of lifesaving medical treatment, such as Lauren Richardson in Delaware.

It will help people learn about the best advanced directives for treatment, learn about the dangers of assisted suicide, focus on state and federal laws and explain how hospice care can be helpful.

The program will also delve into the controversial futile care theory whereby hospitals and doctors are more routinely giving up on providing care for patients they consider "too far gone."

The America's Lifeline debut is set for 3 PM EST on Saturday, March 15, 2008 and it will also be streamed worldwide via the Internet at http://860wgul.townhall.com.

The program is poised to expand into other Florida radio markets including Orlando and Miami.

You're welcome. We will be doing special remembrances through March 31st, the day dehydration/starvation took Terri courtesy of judicial tyranny.

LET US NOT FORGET THAT EVIL REPUBLICANS UNITED WITH THE A.C.L.U. TO MURDER TERRI. I am now an independent. I will not be used by any political party who rides roughshod over innocent Americans.

If McCain loses, the GOP should realign with the republicans who jumped ship. They need to have a genuine pro-life platform and STICK TO IT. It is never just to kill innocent people for political expediency and for political favors. Money and power killed Terri. So did Governor Charlie Crist (former FL AG).

If McCain loses, the GOP should realign with the republicans who jumped ship. They need to have a genuine pro-life platform and STICK TO IT.

The Whig Party was a dominant force in the first half of the 19th Century, in addition to electing a few presidents, their members included such giants as Daniel Webster and Henry Clay. Then, in the mid-1850s they collapsed over slavery. From this collapse rose the Republican Party which within a decade succeeded in ending slavery and changing the course of American history forever.

While people should ALWAYS be given the right to live, political parties which have completely abandoned their principles DO NOT. A NEW Conservative Party which has to suffer in the wilderness for several years will emerge hungry enough to adhere to conservatism for at least the balance of our lives.

That’s how the culture of death does it, they claim something never happened and repeat it enough that people start to believe it.

Their problem is us. We witnessed too much of the truth to let it fade. And a lot of us did. Truth is a durable thing. One cannot change the core, and can only try to hide it. Lies can be changed as needed.

Truth is a durable thing. One cannot change the core, and can only try to hide it. Lies can be changed as needed.

But they can change what people BELIEVE is the truth. The average American will tell you that we "lost" the war in Vietnam, though they cannot cite a single battle that was won by North Vietnam or the Viet Cong (Cronkite seems to think we "lost" the Tet Offensive, but he also failed to report that General Giap was ready to end the war at this point until he saw how the American left was spinning it).

To show how lies can affect, Peter Arnett at the time of Tet got huge mileage out of a supposed statement by one of our meanie soldiers. "We had to destroy the village to save it."

Never happened. I did some research a few years ago and found it was actually a statement by an Army Captain in France in WWII. The lie did the trick. But we didn't have the internet do debunk that slimebag as we do now. Yes we won and the traitors told the public we lost. Doesn't work so good any more.

Gov. Charlie Crist might be on Senator McCain’s short list for VP, and if anyone wishes to contact McCain and tell him why you don’t want him to pick Crist, here’s some contact info. for McCain:

John McCain 703-418-2008 and e-mail jpblack@mccain08hq.com and http://www.johnmccain.com/Contact/

Or, if you prefer, you might want to suggest to McCain who he SHOULD pick.

Sam Golubchuk...

On this Holy Week anniversary of Terri's agony, we remind of Sam Golubchuk, in Canada, as teams do their best to assure he dies under their timetable. Now we get the bone-chilling weigh-in of none other than Peter Singer, present tense of Margaret Sanger. He is the consummate death dealer, the ultimate word as the voice of those who live for death and hate all human forms of live except their own. It is like the Grim Reaper arriving at bedside with a team of cheerleaders.

(I wonder if he lurks on our threads as a troll. Sounds like it.)

.........................

Pneumonia used to be called “the old man’s friend” because it often brought a fairly swift and painless end to a life that was already of poor quality, and would otherwise have continued to decline. Now a study of severely demented patients in Boston area nursing homes shows that the “friend” is often being fought with antibiotics. Such practices raise the obvious question: are we routinely treating illnesses because we can, rather than because we ought to?

~Snip~

Pneumonia also has not been able to play its friendly role for 84-year-old Samuel Golubchuk of Winnipeg, Canada, who for years has had limited physical and mental capacities as a result of a brain injury. Golubchuk’s doctors thought it best not to prolong his life, but his children, arguing that discontinuing life-support would violate their Orthodox Jewish beliefs, obtained a court order compelling the doctors to keep their father alive....

Sam Golubchuk...

Thanks, Les, for the tips. We can ask ourselves, why does the death squad call out the elite assault team, why the drive to kill this hapless man? Thread by wagglebee on details of Mr. Golubchuk's status replete with links.

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, March 18, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Samuel Golubchuk's children are continuing the fight to keep their father alive against the efforts of hospital doctors who are determined to starve and dehydrate him to death, regardless of the family's wishes.

In February, Justice Perry Schulman of the Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench granted a temporary injunction allowing Mr. Golubchuk to remain on life support until a trial could rule on the issue. The judge, in granting the injunction, said that there were sufficient grounds to doubt the hospital's analysis of the patient's condition.

On Friday March 14th, lawyers for the Golubchuk family and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority were in court to try to establish a trial date.

Neil Kravetsky, lawyer for the Golubchuk family, said the case will not be heard until the end of the year at the earliest.....

Conservativism is dead...Lotke

God is dead...Nietze

Nietze is dead...God

In this effort, Lotke hopes to cross-dress definitions of conservative into something the liberal eye can comprehend, and then pound it asunder hoping to damage Terri's Legacy at the same time. From the OpEd MoPed...

............................

The moral values crusade has turned morality into a burlesque. Conservative leaders are obsessed with abortion, gay marriage and stem-cell research—issues that divide and confuse. They don’t care enough about the morals we learned in kindergarten. Share. Wait your turn. Treat others as you want to be treated yourself.

And conservatism entirely misses the big picture. It doesn't see the greed and materialism tearing us apart. It doesn't see poverty and economic injustice, or refugees fleeing genocide. It doesn't care for the green Earth that earlier generations protected in national parks.

Terri Schiavo. Conservatives put her family through hell before honoring her husband’s request to remove life support. Blinded by faith, conservatives cast aside honored principles of small government and states’ rights.

Choice. Conservatives seek to deny women the right to decide whether to have a child on her own. They don’t seem to care about the women’s own decision, the risk to her health or the child’s well-being after birth. And they insist on teaching only abstinence during sex education in schools, though a mixed curriculum shows better results. Abortion-obsessed conservatives even force their morals onto foreign policy by denying U.S. government aid to organizations in countries that allow abortion in addition to contraception, family planning or other health programs.......

Conservatism is Dying

News Busters is on to Eleanor...

I wonder why the timing of this book touted to overshadow Terri's Legacy at this time, and then I look back three years, about now. Three years ago, the media had no shards of truth on its side and they flailed fecklessly in the breeze searching for something, any thing, to justify a report on their side. They came up with an underwhelming offering, embarrassing. They actually hired a circus juggler to mix in with the Terri supporters, to start his act. Perhaps it would make our support like a circus. It failed and people moved away from the poor guy so his act was by itself, a testament to the lame left lust. The juggler was probably a nice guy simply paid for his role, like some of the detractors we met. Similarly, I see Eleanor, with real grief, used like a dishrag to wave at the world as a banner for death.

"I think that Barack Obama represents a post-racial candidacy," Clift said. "But not a lot Americans feel that. I think the sentiments expressed in that church are not all that unusual in this country and I think Barack Obama is asking us to judge him on how he's lived his life and what he believes."

Clift, also a Fox News contributor and a contributing editor for Newsweek, was promoting her book "Two Weeks of Life: A Memoir of Love, Death, and Politics". Her book examined the Terry Schiavo affair and she compared it with her own personal tragedy of losing her husband, Tom Brazaitis, to cancer in 2005....
