I like it. Although, I think the “FreeRepublic” title at the top is a little too small and humble for such a great site.

Honestly Jim,

I liked it better old style.

It was easier to navigate. I'm here for the news...don't use the "features".

I love it. Only thing might be to change the screaming blue title links to a more subtle navy blue to match the side bar theme.

I love it. It’s much easier to navigate (at least for me anyway) and it looks fantastic.

Are we ever going to get the ability to embed video? It could be switched off in the user profile for users that don’t wish to view it. (though I know that feature would cause DB overhead)

It’s just that videos are sometimes pertinent and are becoming so much of a part of the web these days.

I would like it if all the text was serif, like the titles of the articles seem to be right now. The breaking news section seems to be sans serif, which hurts me old eyes!

I have something labeled "RSS" but no sidebars. Others have complained they have ALL of the sidebars now, so maybe we're in the learning stage and will figure it out.

Overall, the changes seem to have cleaned up the pages, so I like them.

Currently the best way to post an article is to use the sidebar box titled "Browse by Forum". There's a "Post" link for each forum. I'm working on an alternative, a single post button that will prompt for the forum, but it isn't ready yet.
