McCain to seek support from top conservatives [Conservatives sold out by their "leaders"]
Washington Times ^ | March 7, 2008 | Ralph Z. Hallow

NEW ORLEANS — Sen. John McCain, in his post-victory debut before the conservative movement's top donors and leaders, will address the Council for National Policy's annual winter meeting here today.

*snip*

"Many conservative leaders did not support him, but he is a proud conservative Republican who thinks he can earn their support in the general election," Mr. [Charlie] Black added.

You're being sold out, folks. Wake up, before it's too late.

And for you Huckabee supporters, you better pay close attention. Your fearless "leaders" are at the forefront of the move to close ranks with Teddy Kennedy's good buddy.

Just like I told you they would be.

Oh, by all means, we simply must vote for someone who hates the Constitution a shade less than Hillary and Hussein.

If you think there is any difference at all between the 3 candidates now on the political stage, you are blind.

I certainly won't vote for a traitor; that would be your call.

The nice thing is this: McCain is so self-worshiping, he will implode even further than he has before the election, and most principled Conservatives will think long-term enough to know that giving a craven Constitution-hating coward like John McCain the presidency would be the death knell of both the GOP and America. 2012 will be a good year, if we have the manhood to wait for it.

Think about who the enemy is hoping for and vote for the other guy.

The enemy would be quite pleased with any of them. McCain's cowardly distancing of Cunningham the other day sounded right out of a Muslim-sensitivy playbook.

Go on kidding yourself that this enemy of the 2nd amendment cares about your liberty, but don't try to pretend you're doing anyone any good.

I regard anyone who gets an F- from GOA and who wants the 1st Amendment shut down for 60 days prior to an election as a TRAITOR TO HIS COUNTRY. John McCain is a fascist globalists that wanted our Southern border opened up without any concern for the fiscal and political havoc he would have created. He’s not just “the lesser of two evils.” HE IS EVIL. Deal with it.

All I need for proof of what famer18th is saying—and he says is so well—is to watch the following disgusting by true video taken by heroic NBC reporter Anna Garcia in San Diego of the McGonigle Canyon illegal alien encampment. THIS is what the Invasion by Mexico is turning our country into—a third world cesspool!

There are plenty of other videos like this. And who is responsible for allowing things like this to happen and to continue to fester? Open Borders/Amnesty “leaders” like Juan McLame!

Anyon\e who will not ADMIT, flat out, that our war is against Islam is not FIT to lead our troops in battle. This comes VERY close to home, friend. I've seen too many boys who were nearly killed by IEDs funded by Saudis (GWB's friends) to believe that McCAin, Bush, or any other misfit NeoCon can run an expensive "tinkering" war. If we want to end terror, start bombing Mecca or shut-the-f-up.

It is cowardly to send American soldiers on Red Cross missions.

That only means he's too stupid, or heartless, to care about his own flesh and blood. America is not a Samurai culture; it's a THINKING, CARING, PRAYING culture and the McCains don't qualify on any front. Would this be the boy who was the born of the mother John abandoned?

Ah, this must be the latest episode of McCainophobes v. McCainiacs, otherwise known as The Circle Game.

"This is the most distinguished collection of conservative leaders and donors, and he was anxious to appear as part of his ongoing effort to consolidate support for his candidacy within the conservative movement," said Charlie Black, Mr. McCain's campaign adviser.

. . .

CNP does not publicize its meetings, speakers or agenda, but the McCain campaign informed the press of his agreement to address the council. As a result, reporters following the McCain campaign deluged the council with requests for coverage.

"We agreed the press could sit in a separate room and listen to the speech and the questions and answers," a CNP official said, speaking anonymously because the rules of the council forbid officials or members to speak by name in public.

Good. A visible demonstration. But, will it do any good?

"It will say more about the state of the conservative movement than it does McCain," a veteran CNP member said. "If he is accepted at CNP, this will mark the official end of the conservative movement as we knew it."

Of course, if McCain is accepted, the McCainophobes will instantly declare the approving CNP members RINOs and traitors. But what else is new?

At least, there will be plenty of press there to report on the fireworks or on the lack of them.

According to the tireless Team Juan shills heareabouts, The Man Who Would Be King (of Mexico) is riding a massive, unstoppable tsunami of support combined of equal parts "moderate Democrats, independents and Hispanics."

Assuming (naively, perhaps) that all of the foregoing on is genuinely the case; and not; rather, a clumsy, baldfaced lie on their parts... then, logically: they certainly don't need either the votes or the campaign donations of we conservatives, obviously.

Get all those indys and "moderates" to foot the bill, then.

In a speech in Florida, [McCain] said: "Pandering for votes on [immigration], while offering no solution to the problem, amounts to doing nothing. And doing nothing is silent amnesty."

When we say the solution is prove that you can ENFORCE THE CURRENT LAWS we are accused of having no solutions. We are just pandering -- and worse!

Straight talk for me

but not for thee.

For you my contempt and contumely.

You are divisive if you disagree.

No, keep your eyes open. Don't sign up for McCain's attempt to re-define conservatism. Don't give McCain a blank check.

McCain is rabidly for radically changing this country in a multi-culti, socialist direction with immigration 'reform' and regulating the economy for the sake of global warming.

It's still an open question, whether McCain would be more damaging to this country or whether Hillobama would be.

If Hillobama wins, then the GOP would be united in opposition and the Democrats could be blamed for the disasters that will happen. If McCain wins, the GOP will be split, making it easier to pass these 'progressive' and socialist laws.

And it's really sad that the only argument McCain has, is to point at Hillobama. Sad, but telling.

It’s very simple. Support McCain where we can and use the forces of pressure on our Representatives to contain him where we wish. If it were not for Mr. Beck at Numbers USA and other organizations like it, we would already have the amnesty that was supported by GW. The citizens mobilized and let their Reps know that their jobs were at stake if this garbage passed and they backed down. Especially when a few of them were struck down in the local primaries on both sides of the aisle.

Make no mistake, we do have the power to control this situation to keep the Hildebeat and Barry out of the office as well as contain McCain. It will take the vigelance of four years until we conservatives can begin to start promoting a real conservative and not split our vote amongst a few of them to let the moderate slide in again. Who knows, Juan just might pick a real conservative as VP as an effort to bring in the base. He will not have an easy time at it.

We hold the ultimate power only as long as we do it as a focused effort of numbers and are willing to toss out incumbents for crossing us. It’s their job they are trying to protect, not their constituents, and we make the final decision if they can get approval for the next extension of it.

Oh I comment on McCain a plenty and so many others.

And early on every thread you’ll get some McCain paid maniac telling you that you’re a child, that you should bend over and pay the piper, that all the things that McCain did to you through the years was nothing really, just little things...get over it.

And oh, they will also come back and say things like “McCain is anti-abortion, he will appoint good judges” and we must sit out here like the stupid fools we are and forget that Gang of Fourteen slap and those words of McCain himself that Alito wore his conservatism on his sleeve.

Then they say McCain is good for that war, that his own sons are currently serving. And again we must forget how McCain lambasted this country’s Secretary of Defense every time he got in front of a camera. So while I maybe thought D. Rumsfeld was a real good guy, even if he wasn’t I would have had the good grace not to embrace the TV screens with my sullen presence constantly criticizing the man that I..I..I..I should have his job. Oh, and we should also forget how McCain stood up and called the Swift Boat Vets LIARS...what a fine respect for those who served. I should not wonder about a Senator who would lessen military morale by openly criticizing their leader, the Sec of Defense.

Then they say he’s a good guy with respect for the constitution and we must forget the McCain Feingold bill that trampled all over Free speech. This was one of the WORST pieces of legislation in the history of our country and has not in any way removed nasty money from politics. We should forget this attack on the constitution so the McCainiacs tell us with a straight face.

The list goes on and on with McCain and yet they come back again and again and again and finally they offer the only real argument they have and it’s pitiful. Which would be that McCain is the lesser of the evils.

Which might be but then we are to forget how each and every time this guy has a chance, even NOW as he campaigns and knows he needs to repair his relationship with the conservative base the man slaps down a guy for calling Barack by his middle name for God’s sake...we should forget McCain’s long record of slapping us down and all of a sudden we should believe that McCain will become a golden boy and overlook his obsession with “reaching across the aisle”.

The McCainiacs want to tell us the sky is red and to deny this is to destroy your party, your country, your children’s future.

When John McCain has helped the libs right along do this and ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO SLAP BACK AT THE MCCAINIACS IS LIST THE FINE EVEN-TEMPERED MAN’s OWN RECORD!

How in the hell did we get into this mess!?!?

The National GOP, in conjunction with the MSM and the big dogs in Conservative Talk Radio (especially Limbaugh), failed utterly to support the only two Conservative candidates in the race last fall, Thompson and Hunter.

Just think, if Limbaugh had given both Thompson and Hunter half the mouth time that he does now for Clinton, then we would be sitting pretty. Instead, we get nasty, decrepit McCain.

Another party would not be a third party. The GOP has moved far enough to the socialist left that it has aligned it's political ideology with the socialist Democrats. They are effectively one party. Another party will restore the two party system.

The GOP, like America, already is a dead institution, murdered by the weak and ignorant liberal marxists with the rino fools and nothing but the hand of God can save it. McCain is a liberal and conservatives should not vote for liberals lest they (the corrupt RNC) weaken and hurt conservatism even more. It would be better to let McCain lose than vote for the rinos.
