BREAKING NEWS: Judge declares mistrial in agent’s murder case
Sierra Vista Herald/Bisbee Review ^

Posted on 03/07/2008 4:03:49 PM PST by SandRat

TUCSON — Judge David Bury declared a mistrial Friday in Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Corbett’s murder trial.

The jury told the judge that it was deadlocked and would not be able to come to an agreement. The U.S. District Court judge then declared a mistrial.

The mistrial was called after jurors spent more than two days discussing the case.

On Thursday afternoon, Bury almost declared a mistrial after the jurors sent a note stating they were experiencing a tough time making a decision, but he decided instead to give them more time.

Corbett is charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and negligent homicide of Francisco Dominguez-Rivera, a Mexican who was illegally entering the United States near Naco last year. Corbett claims he acted out of self-defense.

For more on this story, see Saturday’s Herald/Review.

Bottom line is if the illegal hadn’t been here, he wouldn’t have been shot.

I didn't know Jorge had one of these, let a lone that they came from Mexico!

Horrid part is that every one of the three Dems running to replace him are even bigger border pimps & panderers.

Meanwhile Ramos and Campean sit in Federal prison cause they failed to remember the cardinal rule of self-defense.

Dead people don't sue.

“The jury told the judge that it was deadlocked and would not be able to come to an agreement.”

Jury nullification is a time honored tradition.

This morning, ABC radio news has been saying:

“in a case being closely watched by those for and against illegal immigration...”

Although it has been obvious to us, this is tantamount to an official (MSM) recognition of the fact that people are FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION!

"Meanwhile Ramos and Campean sit in Federal prison cause they failed to remember the cardinal rule of self-defense. Dead people don't sue."

And Rule Two: "If you have to shoot 'em in the back, roll 'em over and shoot 'em in the front too!"

Rule 3, as we were taught when we moved to Brasil, was "Drag 'em back into your yard if necessary."

Will join you in a prayer, that they do not refile.

There has been enough publicity, to serve their purposes.

I get very upset at all these, trials with the wrong goal, for a case of a person doing the job we hired them to do.

Don't hold your breath. Or in fact, maybe you could, the retrial effort is likely already in motion.
