Oh man...I am in Macon and not that far from Athens. Unfortunately my car is lucky to make it to town. There is no way I could drive it to Athens. I really want to go up there if I can find a way to do it.
I found this press release, on their website, that pertains to Lauren Burk. I’m sure some of the same sentiments apply to Eve Carson.

All of the Atlanta TV stations and CNN have been alerted to Westboro’s plans to picket/protest at Lauren and Eve’s funerals. Also, my daughter just e-mailed me that a notice about the Westboro group’s plans has been posted on Facebook, so the kids are aware and calling for counter-action as well.
I know that Westboro has a right to protest, but I really hope that we can prevent them from impacting these funerals. Lauren and Eve’s families and friends have enough to deal with.

I think I need a shower after viewing that “press release” from these ignorant fools. These people are pure evil. They do NOT represent the true God, nor Christianity, nor Baptists.
You're a very forgiving soul, my friend... but if you look at their signs and listen to their words, that's a far cry from what they're doing. "This is God's punishment for not following His Word" is usually their basic message... just what a grieveing family of a slain student body president or fallen Marine needs to hear.
Look, their whole premise for celebrating funerals is to show that “God” caused them to punish America for being pro-homosexual
Now that these appalling unbalanced nuts hidng their hatred behind the First Amendment are running short of miltary funerals to disrupt, it appears they are going to focus on taunting the grieving families and mourners of murdered children
