Yesterday’s edition of USA Today had a story about Barack Obama’s grandmother in Kenya, in which she slams the Clinton campaign for circulating photos of Obama in Muslim garb—and then states that she is a Christian: Obama’s grandma slams ‘untruths’.
Obama’s grandfather had converted to Islam from Roman Catholicism and taken the name Hussein, Sarah Obama said, but his children had inherited only the name, not the religion. Each person should be able to choose how they worshipped, she said.
“In the world of today, children have different religions from their parents,” she said. She, too, is a Christian.
Just one little problem with this statement.
In April of last year, Sarah Hussein Obama told the New York Times she is a devout Muslim.
Sarah Hussein Obama, who is his stepgrandmother but whom Mr. Obama calls his grandmother, still rises at 5 a.m. to pray before tending to her crops and the three orphans she has taken in.
“I am a strong believer of the Islamic faith,” Ms. Obama, 85, said in a recent interview in Kenya.

This guy is a string of lies. Fact is, he grew up with the muslim faith, and joined the Christian church around age 27 because it was helpful to his cause as a community activist. he says so in his book. He was not driven by a relationship with God, but rather a desire to be more successful in his career.

Either she’s developing old timers disease or she’s and out and out liar. My money is on the later. Who does not know the name of the religion they practice? And it’s not as if she got confused about being a Methodist or a Presbyterian here!
More than anything else, this makes me think that Obama may really be a closet Muslim. Clearly his family is hiding their faith and falsely claiming to be Christian. His so-called church isn’t a very Christian church — maybe he really is a Muslim.

We know that if you inherit a name; you inherit a 'faith'. . .whether you recognize it formally - or not. Obama's success is a success for every Muslim around the world; including and most importantly; the radical Jihadist. Forget about what Obama imagines himself to be. . .no matter what he calls himself; in their eyes he is a Muslim; and they will no doubt be imploring him to return to his authentic roots.
...and 'why' is not this 'Grandmother' put in the parenthetical; as she is not is REAL Grandmother. The blood Grandmother of course, is white - and ignored. ..in Hawaii.
We cannot have a 'schizophrenic' Christian/Muslim/Black/White. . .President, who, as per his admitted childhood angst; suffered an unfolding identity crisis. ..and by all measures; he still is. . .

Ping for an interesting tidbit. I don’t know if it’s significant or not, but each piece of the puzzle contributes to the final picture. Otherwise, when it comes to Obama, there’s simply no there, there.
I don’t think there’s any question that, if Obama is anything, Obama is Muslim. He joined a “Christian” church for political convenience. But the church he chose to join is patterned after, and admires, the Black Muslim movement. And it actually welcomes Muslims as members and does not require that members be baptized.
In other words, I suspect that his “pastor” decided to set up a Black Christian church instead of a Black Muslim church because it is less provocative and therefore more effective. Saul Alinsky would have smiled. And, as a “church,” it gives him tax exempt status for what is basically a political and money-making organization.
Why doesn’t Obama ever talk about the White side of his heritage????????????????

Very curious. He writes books about his father, who abandoned the family when Obama was just 2, and made another brief appearance in his life at 10, only to disappear again. Turns out the old man returned to Kenya and had, shall we say an interesting life. When Obama discusses his family, he always talks about his African or African American relatives. Obama rarely mentions his white mother or her relatives in Kansas; maybe he has, and I just never heard it. His mother had some, er, interesting views of hte world; maybe she taught him to be ashamed of his whiteness. Curious. A psychiatrist would have a field day with that.
Obama appears to be a guy still fighting with himself to justify his “blackness.” The truth is few people really care is he’s white, black, yellow, red or purple. It’s just not that important; what is important is that he is the most liberal member of the Senate.
Let’s not get paranoid and stupid, folks. If OsamaObama indeed is a closet Muslim what do you think 90% of this country will do if he decides to “come out” while he is President? Let’s stick with REAL issues. Leave his grandma alone.
