That’s kind of where I thought you were going. But don’t use this fact to justify sh1tty judgment and what most people would consider cruel behavior. If most people don’t like what he did, he ought to man up and deal with the negative consequences. Nobody is immune from that.
Thanks for the Zen lecture...I take life for fun, profit, and because, at one time, that was my job...I prefer to live trap enough mice to maintain a supply for my Accipiter and Falcon banding. So, don’t get all preachy on me cause I get it enough from dolts around Portland that get all swooney over wildlife such as English Sparrows, Starlings, and Crows; I still find it amusing(and sad) the reaction of the dunderheads when a Crow raids the cute little bird house full of baby sparrows or the cat stalks prey at the feeder station.

I doubt the golfballs were flying past the tree when the hawk landed there. Blame the man because he, of his own volition, repeatedly took all actions necessary to create the situation whereby the hawk died.
Maybe the golf course designers should have just cut down all the trees when they bulldozed all of those acres to make a lawn for this yahoo to golf on.
He shot eight times at the tree. The man also drove after and tried to chase the hawk away earlier as well. The hawk came to him. And stayed there through eight balls flying by it.
The hawk had a severe case of the D and Darwin smiled down upon it.
And now Federal or State agents are gonna smile down on the yahoo. I hope they hang him. If golf is so important to him, why’d he drive away chasing a bird? Clearly he has issues. Maybe he should go back to his day job.

The guy was filming a spot, the bird was in his way. It wouldn’t go away after several hints, and nature took it’s course.

Don't get me wrong...I'm a hunter, not an animal rights wack-job. But give me a choice between driving golf balls at a hawk or throwing them at a guy doing same, and his ire will immediately turn from the hawk to me. And we'll see how tough he is with an iron wrapped around his neck.
Fair enough. I have not contested anyone’s assertions of this guy be a dill-weed.

It’s a bird. Whattaya want from it? It sits in trees looking for bunnies and mice and some dope in plaid pants comes along and starts messing with it. How’s it know a golf ball will kill it?

He’s a golfer. Obviously of low IQ. He sips iced tea and stands in green fields. He makes his living playing a game in a polo shirt. He’s no hunter, but this bird comes up and pesters him while he is doing something to earn money (the TV spot).
