Our President's are entitled to their opinion's. But from our recent experiences with Muslims in general and Al Quida in particular, I have reached a different one.

Jorge Bush speaks, but no one listens anymore.

His main job was to protect the U.S. from enemies foreign and domestic.

He was a most miserable failure.

Good riddance.

Since the bulk of the forces fighting, and dying, on our side in this war are Muslim Iraqis, Afghanis and Pakistanis, it would seem the President knows what he is talking about while the bulk of the posters on this thread do not.

Of course not. So much easier to just cling blindly to the rabidly ignorant hate and bigotry screamed by 5th rate Talk Radio hosts then bother to learn even fact one about the War.

Get real people!

What Bush says to the world and what he ‘knows’ are two different things.
He has to deal with other world leaders, many of whom are muslim, how far do you think he would get if he stated his true feelings re islam?

He is far from being stupid, believe me, he gets it!

If he had the guts to speak his mind and say what really needs to be said to them that would be a change. Doing that rather than WIMP out being PC and giving even a hint of credibilty to the enemies cause. If he did as much then maybe he might get even a nickles worth of respect. That might just work rather than be a laughing stock and making our nation such. As soon as the idenity of the 9/11 hi-jackers were known he should have placed the Sauds and others on notice and not Iraq.

Wrong. A correct interpretation would be “I want to post on a public forum but there are several of the same idiots who pollute any number of threads with their RINO nonsense who I would prefer never to have any interaction with.”

And why are we still buying oil from them and not drilling here at home? No cajones in the Oval Office...

Because the GOP house and senate leadership became as useless as the DEM leadership who used this problem within the GOP to their full advantage especially with Bush in office. With wimps like Lott, Frist, Hyde and Hassert etc, nothing substantial got done but letting the DEMs and Liberals in the GOP like McCain for example set the agenda's.

In the mean time the voting public has either been oblivious or apathetic to the problem. When given a chance for correction they don't take time to think and act beyond what some party hack apologist on Radio and TV talking head shows are telling them what to think and do.

And so it continues with the nation spinning toward one of several outcomes. It becomes a Socialist nation. It falls into a Cultural regional sects civil war which will be far more deadly than our first, or voters wake up and demand accountability, truth, and Constitutional restrain to once again prevail in our nations Capitol and highest offices.

"The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace."

The face of terror IS the face of Islam. The terrorists are interpreting Islam correctly, and carrying out exactly what the Koran says.

And no, Islam is not peace. I am almost sure this ROP stuff comes from a deliberate(?) mistranslation of the word Islam, that was then politicized. People mistake the word Islam from coming from salaam, which means "peace." It doesn't. The word for "to submit" is salama; to make it definite it becomes al-salama, but because of a grammar rule it's pronounced as-salama. Thus the word Islam was derived. It means "submit," not "peace," Mr. President. Learn some Arabic.

Here let me explain it in simple terms for those here that don’t get it.

we can piss off those we want to kill and then kill them

or

we can piss off every Muslim on the planet and have to kill every last one of them.

It’s a Strategery, personally I’d rather kill only those that need killing.
