I think you made a mistake.
I don’t know why everyone keeps thinking McCain is going to run a weak campaign. He spent 5 1/2 years in a freaking POW camp for Christ’s sake. Anybody who can do that is prepared for anything life throws at them. Say what you will about John McCain, but he’s no weakling. Compared to what he’s been through, the Clintons and the Obamas (and 99.9% of the rest of us) have led a pampered life.
I know many conservatives who voted for Hilldabeast. I would have but my precinct split and I would have had to drive to another location and stand in line again, so I just voted for Fred Thompson.
If the majority of Republican voters voted for Obama, how did that help Hillary? LA Times reporters are apparently bad at basic arithmetic.
BUMP your whole post. I agree completely. Additionally, a Hillary Presidency would give Republicans in the House and Senate a target they can wring their hands over. If Hillary does for the Democrats in Congress what Bill did (ie., turn both chambers over to the GOP), that could be juicy.
Obama, on the other hand, might make some Republicans who are chicken to be called "racist" less willing to do ferocious battle with him.

Hard to say, but it certainly added to her margin...

No GOP vote in Texas or Ohio was going to determine the presidential candidate. If you wanted a say in who WOULD NOT be on that list (and McCain is an absolute) you had to cross party lines.
I did vote in the GOP primary, by the way and I didn’t vote for McCain. So my vote in the GOP primary did nothing to determine the candidate for President but it may influence who is selected for VP to try to win my vote.
I doubt they will make a wise choice.
Conservatives like me will never vote for Hillary or Obama in the general election and even a third party candidate would be a vote against McCain and aid the Democrat candidate.
So McCain will continue to try to play to the center.
I have heard Democrats who’ve said that the choice between Obama and McCain is much harder for them to make than choosing Obama or Hillary (oligarchy).

I dare Obama’s supporters to call me a racist. I voted for Alan Keyes in the primary and would rather have him as the GOP nominee than John McCain (although Duncan Hunter was my first choice; Keyes was still in the race in Texas, Hunter had dropped out but was still on the ballot).

We know the hidabeast will appoint abortion protectionist judges who will legislate from the SCOTUS power position to create social programs with legal protection; Johnny has declared strict constructionist judges are his favored nominees.
The Rodham rodent will raise taxes every time she has support from the House and Senate to do so, and she will use tax increases to dividie this nation even further into 'haves and have-nots' as defined by the DNC ... LBJ proved the democrats are more than willing to create a welfare state to enslave any body of voters they can isolate with handouts. Johnny has stated that the Bush tax cuts must be made permanent.
The Hildebeast hates our military and will not only use it for a welfare system to the world (as in Mogadishu and purposefully NOT enforcing when our under siege troops needed it) and divert every dollar she can get away with to the socialist programs the DNC wants for the entrapment of citizenry into dependency. McCain will use force when warranted and will completely fund the military so that our troops have the best and plenty of it to carry out the missions.
Legislation regarding the invasion from South of our borders will follow a Kennedyesque approach of full amnesty and welfare for the invaders, to make these dependants DNC voters. McCain wants a system to count, identify, limit, and regulate the Mexican populace trying to whore-out our social systems without becoming citizens. We know the Rodham rodent will not close the border. Maybe Johnny has seen the handwriting on the conservative walls which has thwarted his amnesty efforts thus far.
And we could get more detailed in legislation directions, but that is sufficient for me to vote for McCain over the Rodham-rodent, and certainly over the racists socialist named Obama.
Plus if Hildy does somehow get the nomination, she will somehow force Obama to be her VP.
So you end up with BOTH of them anyway.

In a proportional system, which the Rats have, EVERY crossover vote helped that candidate by increasing the margin of victory/defeat.
Delegates are awarded based on the popular vote and the margin.
