[history]
Barack Obama won the Wyoming caucuses Saturday, beating Hillary Clinton by double digits after a day of historic turnout in the state.
With 96 percent of precincts reporting, Obama had 59 percent to Clintons 40 percent. Both candidates campaigned in the state ahead of the caucuses, but the onus was on Obama to regain his momentum after Clinton disrupted his winning streak Tuesday, scoring wins in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island.
Her victories kept her campaign alive, pushing the race forward to Wyoming, where just 12 convention delegates in 23 county caucuses were at stake. Next up is Mississippi, which holds its primary Tuesday, and then Pennsylvania, which votes April 22.
With the almost unprecedented political attention, turnout was high as thousands of Wyoming voters deluged caucus sites.
Obama got a big bump from Albany County, which contains the University Wyoming. The state Democratic Party reported 75 percent of caucus-goers there went for Obama.

Texas is the best example of that, since the Dems have both a primary and a caucus, with the delegates evenly divided between them. Primaries: Clinton 51%, Obama 47%. Caucuses: Obama 56% Clinton 44% (last I checked... returns were still incoming).
Clinton netted only a handful of delegates from the primaries, and is going to lose a good deal more than that from the caucuses... in other words, primary results aside, Clinton lost Texas.
To: omega4179
According to Bill Clinton, Obama finished next to last while Hillary was in second place.

Yes. At least McCain will be fairly quiet since he is about out of money and can’t raise any more until after the Convention. he probably wasn’t going to raise a lot of H-— anyway.

At best Obama only picks up 2 delegates in a caucus state. But, if he can follow through with a 60% - 40% win in the primary in Missisippi it will help him to pull away from her in delegates and it will add to his popular vote advantage.
I’m still not convinced that Hillary’s momentum is broken. She’s got 5 weeks to tear down his image of invincibility before the Pennsylvania primary. Unless she can win by 30% there, then its all over and there will be no civil war at the convention. If however, she can get that big win in PA then there will be do-overs in MI and FL.

Probably up in Jackson County in particularI heard that most of the differential in the causus came form the Laramie area where the Universities are. You've got to be careful when drawing a conclusion about a caucus...less than 10,000 people voted in Wyoming.

Obama had 59 percent, or 4,459 votes, to Clinton's 40 percent, or 3,081 votes, with 22 of 23 Wyoming counties reporting.
I live in a city whose population is more than 10X this....in one county..... tell me again why ANY of this matters? Based on my independent, albeit anecdotal polling, most are still more concerned with the outcome of this years American Idol
than any election. We have become a nation whose majority are MORONS..............God help us ALL!!!!!!!!!
