Obama is the return of the "2nd Adam" for those who worship the god of therapeutic, moralistic, secularized hypercalvinism.

"When I have gone to see him speak or watched him on television, he has invariably given more or less the same speech about "fundamental change" and "choos[ing] the future over the past." Yet, each time, I find myself listening raptly, even after the sixth or seventh reiteration of the same slogans and catchwords. It is partly his voice and his cadences, but there has to be more to it than that. And there is."

Well I sure hope that a solid majority of American voters will prove "immune to his charms" -- his campaign is largely devoid of content because he is a hard-left, socialistic weenie who would never be supported by more than 30% of the American public if they knew his actual views. Thus, he has to pursue the content-free "yes we can" change campaign without telling people "I will double your taxes and throw the economy into a permanent tailspin if you just give me a chance to make my fundamental change!"

And college-educated (sociology and education major) whites have flocked to him en masse.

Ah, yes.  The voice and cadences -- and more.

Obama: Man of the World
By NICHOLAS D. KRISTOF
Published: March 6, 2007

Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to
prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that
seemed delightfully uncalculated [...], Mr. Obama described the
call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at
sunset."

Visions of Adolph Hitler; if you ignor history, then repeat history at your own peril.

I have a question about Senator Barack Hussein Obama: Mr. Obama was born in 1961, and was therefore required to register for Selective Service (”the Draft”) under the law. Does anyone know if he registered? Bet the media won’t dig too deep into that one like they did President Bush’s time in the Texas Air National Guard!
