Yet Another Reason to Bomb Iran
Right On the Right ^ | March 09, 2008 | by Justin Higgins

I've long been a proponent of military intervention against Iran, though not a ground forces invasion. As evidence builds that Iran is interfering in Iraq and is a major player behind terrorist groups like Hezbollah, we need to consider action. The newest development is that Iran isn't only behind Hezbollah, but they're training fighters for the terrorist group Hamas:

ROTR- Hamas, Backed by IranThe Hamas commander, however, confirmed for the first time that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has been training its men in Tehran for more than two years and is currently honing the skills of 150 fighters.

The details he gave suggested that, if anything, Shin Bet has underestimated the extent of Iran’s influence on Hamas’s increasingly sophisticated tactics and weaponry.

Speaking on the record but withholding his identity as a target of Israeli forces, the commander, who has a sparse moustache and oiled black hair, said Hamas had been sending fighters to Iran for training in both field tactics and weapons technology since Israeli troops pulled out of the Gaza strip of Palestinian territory in 2005. Others go to Syria for more basic training.

To analyze this, Iran has the power to launch a two-front war on Israel, as pointed out in that post. Add to that Iran's backing of Shi'ite militias in Iraq, and their backing of al-Qaeda in Iraq, and Iran now has the power to influence wars against both major powers for Democracy in the region, Israel and the United States. Military action needs to be on the table, because obviously the upper eschelon of Iranian leadership is behind this.

Much of the Islamic Middle East is begging for a war like nobody’s business. And this war won’t involve any nation building, social engineering, or attempts to win “hearts and minds.” Annihilation, not occupation.

It won’t happen because our leaders are filthy, estrogen-filled, groveling cowards. They whine about Iran killing our troops, but do nothing.

The major purpose of attacking Iran is to stop its nuclear weapons program.

However, it may be too late for that.

If Iran bought enriched uranium or even plutonium from North Korea, all of this enrichment activity was just cover to distract the rest of the world from bomb assembly elsewhere.

While everybody is expecting them to produce *a* bomb, their real concern would be to assemble and put multiple bombs on their capable missiles.

Fortunately, W. Bush has moved major anti-missile assets into the region.

Now, that being said, if Iran’s enrichment activity is for weapons grade uranium, then a bombing campaign can reduce it, but it cannot guarantee that it cannot be rebuilt.

The only way to do this is, after a bombing campaign, US ground forces partition those parts of Iran necessary for Iran to reconstitute its weapons program.

The number 1 area would be the Arab southwest, which has most of Iran’s oil resources. If that land could be taken from Iran, after destroying their nuclear program and much of their missiles, then they would be unable to recreate it.

With these wimps in power or about to be in power? We’re so lily-livered, we’ll probably apologize to Iran for limiting their ability to sponsor terrorism.

You may be mistaken that the primary reason to attack Iran is to stop their nuclear capability. That’s the FORMAL reason that might win the minds and hearts of enough people to support the attack.

The real reason should be or is, to stop Islamic, “Hojatieh” Iran from spreading/financing terror groups and terrorism worldwide. The nukes only make them a bit more dangerous but are not the end all reason on their own.

You sound as if you know what “Hojatieh” means - if not go to http://www.antimullah.con and search the word.
