Sure man! I’ll talk!

HK45 - my hands are big and this piece feels right at home.
Holds 10 .45 ACP rds. Recoil is very mild.
I can deal with someone who's a PITA, they still have the potential to change through constant interaction with people; but when someone tries to have everyone else's rights revoked so that they "feel" safe - well, let's just say I think they're the ones who should learn their lessons the hard way.
It's not completely out of their realm of reason to understand our point of view...in fact, they do understand, but they suffer from such cranial-rectal inversion that they refuse to accept that they may be wrong. I used to be the same way until I was held up in Pittsburgh. Then and only then did I understand and fully accept the stand that I now take WRTO the 2nd Amendment.
’ She doesn’t get along with anyone. She’s one of those snooty, prissy women who is better than everyone else, calls most of the neighbors names and will call the police on little kids making too much noise...’
Rick, it sounds like you live next door to my son’s mother-in-law.
Well... you make valid points.
I’ve been robbed six or seven times in my life, though they got nothing each time. I don’t carry money on my person and I rarely carry anything worth much. The most they might get now is a gun if they rob me. lol Or some lead anyway.
Growing up for most of my life in a big city was enough training for me to know how to survive. Then add to that the fact my father and mother were very clear on life lessons for many things - I think I lived a long and good life just learning.
Perhaps some of these people will learn too.
LOL!
Every neighborhood has one I suspect.
Perfect! I’ve saved that image! Thanks!
Um... no. This is a flagrant lie. I own several handguns and none of them have shot people. Does this mean they are faulty?
MY handguns were designed to strike the primers on the ammo I feed them, and then allow the lead projectiles to exit the barrel efficiently. It is up to the operator which direction the projectiles go, and for me this is usually through a piece of paper at the range.
Some estimates put gun ownership in America to be around 50 million households. I dont see that many deaths a year... so that must mean there are a lot of faulty guns out there!
So I was wondering...
If ya were going to build a stick frame house, what could you put in the exterior walls that would stop, say, .308 rounds up to the window sill level? Kevlar is pricey, 1/2 " plate is too, and heavy. Brick veneer won't cut it.
Maybe no answer besides poured concrete half walls?

With a standard stick frame home , with brick veneer and drywall interior with common insulation values ya put this stuff in it’s 4x8 sheets inside the drywall as ya would plywood sheathing. Drywall over that, plaster wainscoting etc . We added fixed interior bookshelves on the threat walls as well to reduce any potential for spall effect.
Good stuff, easy to work with and will only add a few grand too your remodel on the exterior shell on your home and even less if you address the drive by threat only .......
Shoot low sheriff she’s ridin a Shetland !
You mention criminals wil get guns, true. In the fifties I remember ZIP guns, made out of car aerials/antennas. Fire one time and throw away. Maybe that is one reason car antennas now are one piece solid wire?? Ones I made using firecrackers with pipe/tubing would penetrate 3/8” plywood. ones I made using real cartridges worked well also.
I was reading about that very subject on Survivalblog.com. I think the concensus was that for cheap and effective, gravel between thick plywood is best. The gravel breaks up even large heavy fast rounds, and it doesn’t pour out like sand would.
That might work. See also the link at 173.
Take care!
