Someone posted a really good recipe for a quick Shinar Bock bread a while back. I wrote it down and used it a couple times and it was great. I lost it and tried a different one and it was horrible.
I have some pork ribs I am fixin' to get started and a half rack of Shinar but I really wanted some of that bread. If someone has it please post. Thanks.
You mean Shiner Bock ?
It is Shiner Bock.
Get it right!
Did they post it AS a thread on IN a thread?
What’s “’Shinar’ Bock” beer? I’ve heard of “Shiner Bock” beer.

If that’s not the one you’re looking for try Googling Shiner Bock bread.
Texas is deeply saddened.
He probably gets his picante sauce from a company in New York City.
in a thread.
Shinar is in the plain of Babylon.
Shiner is a little town in Texas.

Shiner Bock Beer Bread:
1 package rapid rise dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
1/4 cup honey
4 cups all-purpose flour, plus 1 1/2 cups
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 (12-ounce) Shiner Bock Beer, at room temperature (or your favorite beer)
2 eggs, beaten
1 stick butter, melted
In a large non metal mixing bowl, dissolve yeast with warm water, add honey and stir. Allow yeast to activate and begin to bloom. Add 4 cups flour, salt, oil, beer and beaten eggs.
Stir with wooden spoon until thoroughly mixed. Turn out and onto heavily floured surface. Work this flour into the dough, by kneading 10 to 15 minutes as the dough will be sticky. Knead until smooth and it “comes back” when pushed with your finger. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, roll dough to coat, cover with plastic wrap and put in a warm place until doubled in size.
When dough has doubled, punch down in the middle and let rest for 5 minutes. Divide dough into 8 to 12 (3-inch) rolls. Smooth, place on baking sheets and brush with melted butter. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise a second time until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from oven, brush with melted butter and cover with waxed paper until cooled.

Four times? It wasn't even the correct finger.
Ingredients:
Gas in car
map to grocery store
$8.49
That was my post - but now I’m wondering if my recipe was the good one or the bad one?????
Best Shiner bread - Saltgrass Steak House!

I have the recipe for a black shiner, but you probably don't want it.
My wife and I had our first date at Saltgrass in San Antonio.
How much would the real recipe be worth to you?
There you are! Dinners at six or so so take you time there’s plenty. I figure to cook up some Ranch Style beans, your bread, some ribs and a salad. Its 68 outside right now.
I like the brewery at Shiner and the beer there but here in Mississippi there are times I can’t get Shiner Bock Czech beer....there is a Lazy Magnolia Beer Company in Kiln, Mississippi on Roscoe Turner Road that makes a Pecan brewed dark beer that is good also...try it.
Did you have an icy cold Shiner?
We just bought a new grill - gas on one side, charcoal on the other - we’ve been grilling up all week. All you need to add to that menu is some cream cheese filled, bacon wrapped jalapenos..........
I wish, but I had stopped drinking a couple years before that. One of the things I miss. Cold beer on a hot day.
I type with one finger and it was a mental mistake. Let me look at the bottle...yep your still right.
Yours was the good one.
I have that one.
Now you all have done it, I’m ready for a beer......
Oh wow - thanks!
My brother is marrying a Mississippi girl in October. I will be visiting Mississippi often I am sure.
I haven’t done the bacon wrapped yet but the cream cheese blows cheddar away.
Here’s my recipe:
1. Get in the car.
2. Drive to the liquor store.
3. Buy the beer.
4. Drive home.
You can use this recipe to make beer in less than 10 minutes where I live.
I have a Texas shaped iron pepper holder to put on the grill. I found it at HEB a few years ago. You cut off the stem end of the pepper, clean out the inside, stuff with ranch flavored creamcheese, then wrap a half or whole slice of raw bacon around the pepper and cover the opening at the top. Secure with toothpicks (soak in water first) - grill (top up) until bacon is done.... incredibly good
I’ll beat that - beer fridge in garage.
I actually already had the recipe for Shiner Bock Beer
Pick up son from school
Drive truck to Kroger
Put Shiner in grocery cart
Pay for Shiner at checkout.
Thats what I had with my T-Bones last weekend. Excellent as hor’dourves!
They are incredible - time consuming to make but worth it.
...ah give normy a break he probably posted the thread after a few slices of Shinar Bock cake
It really the frosting that gets you.
Get a rope!
