He would be a horrible choice for VP.

I cannot recall ANY folks who butted heads in primaries, later sharing the ticket.

Am I wrong?

The political pundits and talking heads anointed Romney.

Forget the other life long conservatives that hold excellent credentials.

How dare anyone question the political pundits and talking heads judgment. Just do as they say and place Romney on the ticket with McCain because they know what is best for our party and the country./sarc.

At this point, the only way I’d vote for McStain is if Romney is on the ticket as VP.

Not me.

You can't trust him. Sure, he'll say whatever he thinks you want to hear to get the job, but listen to his supporters when they say that he ran Massachusetts according to conservative principles, despite all those campaign promises to the contrary.

When "he's a liar" comes from a guy's supporters, you know he's trouble.

I haven't read all 307 comments but I think Mitt is wasting his time. McInsane's valet, Lindsey Graham has the VEEP slot locked.

Plus he's the logical choice -- his lips couldn't be separated from McInsane's butt with a Chain Saw.

Yeah. But one thing about McCain. He doesn't hold a grudge. Right?

Coffee —> Nose —> Ow.

Not satisfied with a loose cannon moderate mavarick at the top of the GOP ticket, some folks want to add a northeast liberal as McCain’s running mate.

How about JohnnyMac picks a real conservative as his VP choice. And tell Romney to get lost!

“McCain was on TV saying he wants a VP thtat shares his own vision:”

In other words, McCain has no intention of healing any wounds he inflicted on his conservative base, that’s ok, he doesn’t like us anyways, why would he be interested in healing wounds?

Mitt Romney, that obsequious toady? McCain will no more put Gumby on his ticket than draft the mouldering corpse of Augusto Pinochet. National Review just published an ultimatum to McCain that in so many words demanded that he put some Movement flunky on as VP (like Mitt, who won like, four states with his 100 million dollars...). I bet McCain tells National Review where to stick their ultimatum.

Jesus. Conservatives are sure funny sometimes.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

"When it comes to national security, John McCain is the big dog, and they are the chihuahuas," he said.

Considering that McCain has Mexico's own Reconquistidor, Juan Hernandez, on his staff, it's pretty clear who the Chihuahua lapdog is for the illegal invaders.

McCain will not pick a running mate who will out stage him. Forget Romney. And forget the idea that he will pick a Conservative. I would not rule out Lieberman.

Please... Romney is no conservative, he’s a stuffed shirt arrogant leftist who tried to play a right winger when he tried for the presidency.

The WORST thing McCain could do is bring this loser on the ticket.

There are pleanty of competent and capable people who can be solid VPs... NONE of them were also rans for the president this election cycle.

Sorry, but no VP for a guy who basically made BREATHING a taxable offense in MA.. .Get Bent Mr Romney... I hear Hillary is searching for a VP.. maybe you should give her a call.

Try JFK and Lyndon Baines Johnson for starters.

“Conservatives are sure funny sometimes.”

They’re “funny” if they think a Clinton/Obama/Nader are better for the country than a McCain/Romney

I’m not certain from your post just how you perceive my view of Romney.

Here it is.

I think that Mitt Romney would have made a superb President.

Apparently his being a Mormon is too much for conservatives to tolerate. Apparently his fiscal conservatism while Governor here in Massachusetts was meaningless to conservatives around the Country.

The notion of Romney as vice-President to that fraud conservative John McCain is appalling to me. I would lose respect for Mitt big time if he really ever did accept it.

That is about it at this point in time.
