Roderick reports:
The Los Angeles Times has lost more subscribers in the past four years than any U.S. newspaper and it isnt even close. Editor & Publisher compared 2007 circulation to 2003 and found the LAT had shed 201,000 readers. Only one other paper, the San Francisco Chronicle, was in six figures with 147,000 lost buyers.
Meanwhile, you know theyre busy mocking Sam Zell for saying they have to find a way to sell papers.
P.S. I forgot to mention: Henry Weinstein took the buyout. (H/t Scott Kaufer.) So long!
ping.
The feel good story of the day!
Maybe they aren’t liberal enough?
Where’s the “Dinosaour Media Death Watch” tag?
And they STILL can't figure out why it is happening either, that is the real kicker here...
Maybe they are publishing in the wrong language.
Newspeak?
I keep sending the postage paid envelope back empty!!! LOL
Oop’s!! From them trying to get my subscription renewed!!
I forgot it, sorry. I even had it ready to cut and paste. Moving too fast this morning.

Actually it’s rather sad.
The LA Times plainly still has objective journalists (along with the faux-objective leftists): they debunked Clinton’s ‘genocide’ claims in Kosovo while the bombing was going on, while the NYT and most of the rest of the media breathlessly parroted the NATO/Albanian-Muslim propaganda. There have been other instances (about once every two months there’s a ‘hell-froze-over’ and ‘pigs-flew’ thread here at FR about an LA Times story that got something right).
Maybe they should publish only in Spanish?
Maybe. Or, they are still using English.
Ditto that....and we get at least six a year.
Considering the politics at the L.A. Times, I'd recommend Chinese.
If they L.A. Times folded I doubt many would miss it. They had me furious when Duncan Hunter was still running and a search for his name only turned up 5 hits. What a rag.
Today there is a story about a law firm here in L.A. that got busted giving Visas to foreigners. It was in both of L.A.s papers, not counting La Opinion. Read both articles and compare.

L.A. Times The Biggest Circulation Loser in the Nation
It’s all because of the internet.
No prob, great job on the MSM death watch posts, I look forward to seeing them...
