Gas Prices Jump, Oil Hits $110

Are you sure it’s not UFOs sucking up the oil at night? People been seeing lots of lights over refineries at night and since the grey men modernized the fleet and went from coal to oil...say you understand....puleeeezzz...

...I blame the oil companies and dealers when gas/oil already in their tanks goes up in price because oil 1/2 the world away goes up in price 2 hours earlier...They gouge when they do that. T

hat oil they are pumping now at the stations does not cost anymore then when they purchased it 2 to 3 weeks earlier and yet they now charge more because 2 hrs before a barrel of oil in Saudi Arabia just went up $5.00?

If they would drop the price at the pump when 2 hrs earlier the barrel price went down by $5.00, then I could see the argument that they are not taking advantage. Of course, they do not as they then argue that only when they get the cheaper per barrel product to their pumps will they reflect the decreased price...maybe 2-3 weeks later.

Yes, on the whole the price at the pump is not the oil companies doing...except when they increase prices 2, 3, 4, 5 cents per gallon over night and reap a wind fall profit for 2 weeks by selling gas at prices that do not reflect what they actually purchased that gas for...multiply that 2, 3, 4, 5 cents by multi millions of gallons purchased for a 2 week period and you can see how that small change in price gouge adds up to huge profits for that 2 to 3 week period they are selling product already purchased prior to the barrel increase at a higher profit margin.

Dude, stop making excuses for them...If you think they are not out to take advantage of a situation you are a fool. They know exactly how to take advantage of people like you.
