WASHINGTON Despite the celebration of Barack Obama's electoral successes as evidence that the nation has moved beyond racial divisions, signs are emerging of a small but unmistakable race-based resistance to his historic White House bid.
Beneath Obama's easy win in Mississippi on Tuesday, exit polls show a state polarized along racial lines, with white Democrats there rejecting his candidacy 70 percent to 26 percent, while 9 of 10 blacks voted for him. It's a dramatic reflection of a recurrent pattern most pronounced in the South.
Geraldine Ferraro, in 1984 the first woman nominated by a major party for vice president and a prominent Hillary Clinton surrogate, refused to apologize the same day for saying that Obama essentially is getting a race-based, affirmative-action break at the expense of Clinton.

“Race emerging as issue in Democratic campaign”
Well, DUH!
Live by the Race card, die by the Race Card...
(Must... Get... More... Popcorn!)
Klinton moral values (kitchen-sink + race-card + scorch earth) emerging in Democrat race.
So if 90% of blacks vote for Obama, it's not race-based, but if 70% of whites don't vote for him, it's racist? Only a lib looney Obama-supporter could think that makes sense. Maybe that 90% of blacks are women-haters because they don't vote for Hillary. Or maybe they're the racists because they won't vote for a white woman.
Not only, the fact Hillary gets overwhelming women’s vote, and that I guess is for ‘Solutions’ she has come up with and nothing to do with her genitals.
“Ebony and Ovaries” (Paul Shanklin)
'Speshly a ugly white woman, bro.
Hahahahahahahaahaha! You got link?
I thought so, too, but I have several female friends who are dems and would never ever vote for her. Of course, they don't like Obama's empty rhetoric either, so they're stumped. (I know at least two of them will vote for McCain, and never admit it.) But I'm not sure dem women will lock-step vote for Hillaty.
When has race NOT been an issue in a Democratic campaign?
She’d sure be hard to look at for four years. Not to mention her shrill voice screeching at us.
Heard it on Rush; nearly busted a gut.
you damn right....even the GOP does it sans for a brave few
“He has demonstrated strong crossover appeal to independents and even some Republicans.”
Ha. With open primaries, maybe some Republicans are just voting AGAINST Hillary?
Actually the white dems rejected the Dali Bama’s white half.
that’s true
LOL!!! and true.
Well, as a white male, I give you all my word of honor that if Hillary were a man, and Obama were white, I still wouldn’t vote for either of them. Hope that helps.
I’m sixty. I remember free speech in this country. It’s
depressing that we’ve lost it.

I am two and one half months away from 64 and I remember so much that we have lost that it makes all the personal computers and cell phones and all that stuff seem totally trivial. I would gladly give up all the new technology if we could regain what we have thrown away.
Actually, Hillary had about 90% black support up until just 4 months ago. If Obama hadn't been black, she would still enjoy that support. But it is very true that there is a strong misogyny ingrained in black culture, from general attitudes of black men towards black women, in their music, in their movies, in every aspect of their lives. This is why black women take special pride in being “strong” black women - it's not easy to accomplish in some black communities.
I'm with you brother, I'm with you.
yeah, sure, i went and voted to practice racism, my vote had absolutely nothing to do with who i thought might be a better candidate for president. Amazing!!!
“So if 90% of blacks vote for Obama, it’s not race-based, but if 70% of whites don’t vote for him, it’s racist?”
Oh, if you’re really wanting to stir the pot....
This is but further proof that black people hate women... ;)
You can take these little skirmishes and go all over the place with them.
