Ping!
Somewhat interesting to visit, but no one concerned about individual rights should want to live there.
Lolo! Paradise ain’t cheap.
He lives on Maui. Screw him! < /envy>
Actually, I am sure it is much more. If you drive over to Hana where there is only one gas station, it is probably closer to $7 gallon.
The author implies that the guy is a moron, but it could be a work truck.
Nah, he's a moron.
Hawaii is the living example of what you get when you only vote for Democrats, much like California. Those fuel prices are due mostly to all the countless taxes the local government has inflicted on the public.
I can remember, back in the 1970s, one night (I forget which one) where the big story on all the network news shows was that $1.00/gallon gasoline had finally come to the United States.
The story that day was that gas prices had for the first time hit $1.00/gallon in Hawaii.
Let’s see the Avalanche likely gets about 14 miles to the gallon, at $97 a tank....
That ain’t gonna get him very far.
That would have been when Carter took office. After of which, he first imposed a “Windfall Tax” on the Oil Companies. He rendered them financially unable to drill, then, in his Socialist brilliance, he froze prices.
The resulting shortages that he created are legendary. Not to mention that it doubled the price nation wide.
The Avalanche get better than 20. It is fuel injected and quite efficient for an SUV. But it surely is not “Super Size”. It is rather small in comparison to the HD-2500 or the HD-3500 Silverado models. (Which also get around 20.)
For the heavy work either of them do, they are quite fuel efficient.
He's on Maui, it's what, about a 25 mile by 50 Mile island? Granted, the roads aren't straight, going in and out of valleys and such, but if the guy lives where the people are, he's got a sub 5 mile commute.
“Maui drivers watch gas prices reach $4”
Welcome to LiberalDemocratSocialistCommunist Utopia. How you rike it?
Thanks to envirowackos and their debilitating regulations, ND can not begin to refine or even ship, in an ecconomical fashion, the oil it produces. As a result, much of the oil from the Williston basin is sold for $65.00 to $70.00 a barrel, not the $100.00 + we pay for Middle Eastern oil. We have th oil, we just can't refine it. Until that is fixed, we are stuck with outragous fuel prices.
Gas Just went to $3.01 Yesterday at the Gas Station near my house in Spartanburg, SC. Further down the road it is $2.97 at Sams Club.
Can we drill Anwar, yet?
Can we drill Offshore California and Florida, yet?
CAn we go after the OIL SHALE, yet?
Can we build a nuke plant, yet?
Can we build a hydroelectric dam, yet?
Can we build a refinery, yet?
What does the price have to be, before Democrats allow AMERICANS to recover AMERICAN Oil?
Not possible! The state of Hawaii sets the price of gasoline to prevent gouging, so how can it be higher their?
