Poor, poor Eliot, unlike Our Bill, he cannot claim it’s all “just about sex.”
That’s the most important difference between buggering the help and being serviced by a professional.

Note Freepable poll at end of linked story!
Mr. Clean was breaking up large transactions into smaller ones to avoid the Federal requirements on cash transaction reporting. That's called "structuring" or "smurfing", and it is a serious money-laundering offense. Spitzer has put hundreds of guys in prison for decades for doing the exact same thing. I hope he is prepared for a rather dramatic increase in the diameter of his anus.

(Too much Law; not enough Order.)
As well they should.
There has been indications of possible crimes regarding violation of money laundering statutes and other criminal acts.
ObOpinion: Mann Act and aforementioned money laundering statutes are dangerously vague and far too broad. They should be revised. However, they're still the law of the land for now.
ObOpinion2: If it had truly been about merely hiring high-class hookers on his own money, it should have been between Spitzer and his wife.
ObOpinion3: Hiring hookers alone should not be a disqualification for being elected to public office in same sense as it should be no disqualification to have taste for exotic seafood/expensive booze/whatever and blowing thousands in some exotic restaurant. Now, the hypocricy of campaigning as anti-prostitution crusader while secretly hiring hookers is entirely another thing, but evaluating this is job for voters themselves...

(Just an opinion from atheist, minarchist and small-l libertarian.)
Well, on the plus side for Eliot, he won’t have to pay for risky sex any more.
