[Environmental hypocrite Ted] Kennedy dumping diesel fuel into Nantucket Sound to boot

The yacht Mya discharges oil into Sound after 2002 Figawi Race

This photograph was taken from shore when the photographer saw Ted Kennedy (the larger shape in the Hyannisport Yacht Club Launch on right) leaving the yacht Mya while it was discharging oil into Nantucket Sound. Photos courtesy Peter Robbins

Politician becomes polluter on "pristine Nantucket Sound"

By now every Cape Codder has heard our senior US senator Ted Kennedy proclaiming his resistence to the Cape Wind project on Nantucket Sound because, as he said, "that's where I sail."

He has called Nantucket Sound "a national treasure", but his love and respect doesn't not extend to his own habits as these photos of him dumping diesel fuel from the bilge of his yacht Mya into the same waters he tries to prevent others from using for renewable energy projects.

The photographer was so shocked as the scene unfolded on the day that the 2002 Figawi Race ended in Hyannis, that he put his dingy into the water and rowed out to question the crew member left aboard Mya that May day.

After he approached the yacht the diesel slick coming from Mya was clear and spreading.

He asked the crewman "what the hell are you doing?"

When told that he was moored in coastal waters near shellfish beds and people swimming, the man replied, "whatever."

F. Scott Fitzgerald's character Gatsby was right when he said, "the rich are different than you and I."

Why run 6-year old photos? The answer is simple - we received them two days ago sent anonymously to our Investigative Reporter (and Blogger) Peter Robbins. The crewman told him that diesel had gotten into the bilge and he was ordered to dump it.

I hope they have better pictures than those two. I can’t see anything damning in them.

OK, I’m getting old and senile perhaps, but seems to me the other day in an article on the same topic that it was Peter Robbins that rowed out in a dinghy to not only photograph the event, but to confront the crewman on the MYA about the pumping of the oil from the bilge into the bay.

Wondering what the true story is, and also wondering if Ted Kennedy was actually pumping the oil himself as the headline implies, and/or if it was Kennedy that ordered him to do it.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy seeing Kennedy on the hot seat for anything as I blame his influence for much that is wrong in our Nation today, but is this BS, or is this truth? I’ve always been quite fond of truth.

Hey folks - get a grip!

This story is six years old and the ‘Swimmer’ may, or may not, not have even given the order.

Fact is, he’s a fat pig, drunken slob, treasonous elitist and guilty of (at the least) manslaughter, but, hey, he’s also a U.S. Senator in the currently ruling party.

Suck it up, kids.

He could take a dump in your kitchen sink and it wouldn’t matter.

To the victors go the spoils.

America’s future has more to do with what you are doing in your personal life to weather the next eight years than all the bile we could spew about this pampered village idiot.

My wife and myself were in the business of Art Glass and Architectural Accents supply back in the ‘70’s and ‘80’s. We learned quickly to profile Leftist Lawyers, Leftist Doctors,, and Leftist Politico’s and demand our costs up front to cover our business, and pray for our profit in the form of the final percentage bid in payment upon completion of the order. In most cases as expected the Lefties would seek other sources for what they wanted which is exactly what we wanted them to do. Those sorts weren’t worth the grief they caused.

Always wanted something for nothing.

I do look on the bright side. In my personal life, I’m quite cheery. In terms of the world, however, I’m a total realist.

If you can’t see what I’m driving at, perhaps it’s you that needs to shuck the rose colored glasses?

I’ve heard the same about the whole family for years and years. Never pay the bills. Jackie Onasis was the same.

The boat, Mya, is actually quite nice. It's wood and maybe 50 years old. They, the Kennedy's pay, but it is like pulling teeth. Many small tradesmen and business can not afford to wait, especially when the Kennedy's as you would expect basically tell you it's a privilege to do work for them.

What I think is going on is that no Kennedy has earned money since the father, Joe Kennedy. Further at the time, Joe was making like supermoney. Ted and the rest have been living off it. So they have super wealthy spending, there is a lot of them, and someone gets the shaft and it won't be them. Kennedys exist for shafting, not being shaftee. They work behind family ‘account managers’ which basically frees them from their economic consequences. It's well know that to take a job with them is a suckers bet. Many do, however, at below cost just for the prestige. So, in a way, the family has a perverted idea of the true, honest cost of services, but they being lefty liberals, we know that.

“...the 2002 Figawi Race...”

Kennedy, crying out in his drunken stupor, “Where the Figawi?”
