Gays worse than terrorists, but hey, no offense intended!
Hot Air ^ | March 16, 2008 | by Ed Morrissey

Posted on 03/16/2008 11:53:01 AM PDT by jdm

An Oklahoma lawmaker has received an avalanche of criticism, reportedly including a few death threats, for calling homosexuality a greater threat to America than terrorism. Republican state legislator Sally Kern has apparently made the comment in more than one venue, and even now defends her statement while the condemnation rolls in from around the country. Kern has only mellowed it to insist that she meant no gay-bashing:

A YouTube audio clip of a state lawmaker’s screed against homosexuality, which she called a bigger threat than terrorism, has outraged gay activists and brought death threats rolling in.

“The homosexual agenda is destroying this nation, OK, it’s just a fact,” Rep. Sally Kern said recently to a gathering of fellow Republicans outside the Capitol.

“Studies show no society that has totally embraced homosexuality has lasted, you know, more than a few decades. So it’s the death knell in this country.

“I honestly think it’s the biggest threat that our nation has, even more so than terrorism or Islam, which I think is a big threat,” she said. …

Kern said she has no regrets for her statements and denies she was gay-bashing. Her Christian faith teachers [sic] her to be loving to individuals, but not their lifestyle, she said.

Gays are a bigger threat than Islamist terrorists? Only if one feels less than confident about their own sexuality. In the real world, gays don’t threaten anyone with their choices. Kern, however, has paranoid notions of gay infiltration of city councils in an effort to drive America to ruin. Oh, the humanity!

But don’t let anyone say that Kern engages in gay-bashing! No, no, no, she hates the sin and loves the sinners. She just doesn’t love it when they conspire to undermine city councils and conduct indoctrination of children into their networks. She doesn’t love gays who sneak gay-themed books into childrens’ libraries, which prompted legislation sponsored by Kern, and which failed to pass in the Oklahoma legislature. But don’t say she bashes gays, for Pete’s sake!

Unfortunately, many take this far too seriously. Republicans at some point have to distance themselves from those whose paranoid impulses lead them to these extremes. In practical terms, they are no better than those who blame Halliburton for conspiring to push the nation to war, or those who believe that the CIA secretly masterminded the 9/11 attacks in order to bolster their budgets.

Worst of all, it takes our eyes off of those who really do want to destroy America — like Osama bin Laden, the Iranian Guardian Council, and other real enemies of our nation.

Matthew 10:28 - And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Which _IS_ worse? You decide.

I believe the politically correct parenthetical term to use is "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

As in..."Gays are worse than terrorists (not that there's anything wrong with that)."

While certainly not a politically correct thing to say in America these days one that many many American citizen believe.
The sad part of this is I thought we had a 1st Amendment concerning freedom of speech.
But alas it seems that it is okay these day to speak on spreading the homosexual agenda but to speak against it will cause you to be attacked and destroyed.
So much for the Constitution............

Our nation's MOST serious and important threat is MARXISM! Homosexuality is merely part of the Marxist plan.

I have often posted that islamofascism is NOT our nation's most serious threat. We can survive a nuclear suitcase bomb. Didn't we lose an entire city to a hurricane? Didn't we survive?

Government schools (especially K-12) are the Marxists most dangerous and effective weapon against freedom. Homosexuality is part of the Marxist indoctrination process whose goal is destruction of the family.

Kern is an idiot. “Gays,” also children of God, are no more and no less than a statistical anomaly that persist at the same rate in most cultures. Terrorists seem to me to be more prevalent, compared to other cultures, in the religion of peace. To paraphrase that great prophet and profiteer Jesse Jackson, the reverend, I would rather be followed in a dark alley by a gay person than a terrorist.

Typical rhetoric right out of the Homosexual Agenda play book. Those who say the practice of perversion is wrong automatically has latent tendencies.

Take your BS Pro-Sodomy play book back to the DUmpster Ed, where someone cares.

What an idiotic article.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Of the two the internal enemy is the more dangerous.

Marxism is our nation’s most serious threat. They are using homosexuality and armies of homosexual Useful Idiots to advance their plan.

Of course the homosexuals don’t realize that they will be the first people sent off to the gulags.

Log Cabin Republicans Call on Oklahoma Legislator Sally Kern to Resign (Go figure)

“Free speech doesn’t mean the right to compare law-abiding, tax-paying citizens to terrorists,” said (LCR spokes-dude) Sammon.

Actually it does: Whether we agree or not is a different matter.

Largely ignored in this uproar is Kerns' explanation that "her remarks were directed at wealthy, politically active homosexuals who are contributing money to gay and lesbian candidates for public office."

Since these candidates are largely associated with the pro-defeat left, they are at least complicit in empowering terrorists. Since (as Ahmedinejad has assured us) there are no homosexuals in Iran, one wonders if the gay community might not be as much of a threat to itself as to anyone else.

Contact: State Rep. Sally Kern Capitol: (405) 557-7348 Oklahoma City: (405) 942-3504. OKLAHOMA CITY
sallykern@okhouse.gov

Help this Patriot to withstand the al_Queera assualt against her and America.
Here’s a fight we can WIN - give her a call or email a supportive message.
Its us against THEM - the evil ones.

OKRep Kern is a Patriot and MORE Republicans should follow her lead on this matter - albeit with a more accurate choice of terms to describe the threat posed by the Queerists and their allies.

That OKRep Kern did not choose more accurate tems to described the threat is NOT the point.
She did get the sentiment CORRECT and on target.
The Queerist/marxistLiberals/neoCommunist are actively undermining America and do pose the more immediate/local threat to our survival.
For now this is a correct stance but the situation could change at anytime depending on al Qaeda.

“QueerBashing” term is so PC/neoComm that it has no merit. That she was not more succinct in her identification of the enemy’s position in the CultureWar is the problem but I’m sure she is getting the verbiage to be more on target as this matter proceeds.

Well, I’m not saying that I condone the spreading of homo/trans/les/bi/whatever agenda in our schools. I hate it. This so called DOS ( day of silence - April 25, I think) is putrid. But I don’t think gays should hang from cranes like Iran’s dinnerjacket thinks. I think the gay/liberal agenda is very harmful and confusing to young people and that homo teachers should keep their views and inclinations to themselves. I know I am in the minority here, but I really think there is a genetic component to homodom. Tell me, who would choose such a lifestyle? Genetically, common sense suggests that it would not be spread by the male. Research has shown an astounding link between homo kids and moms who have gay siblings. True in my family. I agree that my circumstance is only anectdotal, but I still cannot see why anyone would choose such a deviant life. They cannot be happy. But, I still do not believe that people will become homo just because society decides not to burn them at the stake. As I noted in my previous comment, from what I understand (and correct me if I am mistaken) the percentage of sexual deviants in most populations is constant regardless of religiosity, condemnation or acceptance. I know no amount of “education” would make me bend over.
As far as Marxism goes, we are securely post-Marxist. Even the Marxist know it’s a pantload. The greastest danger to our way of life is twofold: 1 uncontrolled and illegal immigration and 2. political correctness, which is nothing more than censorship serving as the author of American suicide.

Kern, however, has paranoid notions of gay infiltration of city councils in an effort to drive America to ruin. Oh, the humanity!

I think Ed Morrissey needs to check out the story of the Philadelphia City Council, and its efforts to make Philadelphia not only a gay tourism mecca, but also to drive the Boy Scouts out of the historic building they built and donated to the City for their permanent base. The reason? The scouts don't permit gay leaders. So now the thousands upon thousands of poor children in Philly urban wastelands will be without the support of the Boy Scouts organization, but hey, we wouldn't want a handful of gay leaders to have their feelings hurt.

It comes down to the tyranny of the minority over the majority; just the opposite of what our system was supposed to correct: the tyranny of the majority over the minority. Time for the pendulum to start "swinging" back.

Sexual deviants of all types ruin our culture. Here is some of what to expect in the future if our teachers union keeps teaching kids that everything is ok no matter how filthy.

March 14, 2008 Woman files lawsuit against AMR because passenger next to her masturbated while she slept

A 21-year-old Harris County woman filed a $200,000 lawsuit against American Airlines alleging employees on a flight to Los Angeles from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport failed to protect her while she slept from another passenger who masturbated to her and ejaculated in her hair, according to a lawsuit she filed last week in Tarrant County. The Harris County woman alleges employees knew of the risks associated with failing to “police the passengers to ensure that passengers do not hurt one another,” the suit states. Airline officials did not return calls seeking comment. In a statement to a Houston television station last year, a spokesman said the company regretted the incident, but the flight crew took appropriate action. The woman and her lawyer could not be reached for comment. The Star-Telegram does not identify victims of sexual crimes. Destined for a Spring Break visit with family and friends March 19, the woman flew from Houston to DFW Airport and had settled into her seat for the last leg of flight 2074 to Los Angeles about 11 p.m., the suit states. The woman slept most of the flight, but awoke about 20 minutes before landing when the pilot announced the plane was on descent into Los Angeles. When the woman opened her eyes, she saw that an unknown man had moved into the seat next to her and was staring at her as he masturbated, the suit states. The woman turned toward the window in embarrassment and in an act of nervousness began to run her fingers through her hair where she noticed “a substantial amount of an extremely sticky substance in her hair,” the suit states. The woman began to cry and tried to get the attention of a flight attendant, but was unsuccessful, the suit states. Finally a passenger in the row in front of the woman comforted her and verified the semen in her hair, the suit states. When the plane landed, employee called airport police and the man was arrested. The suit alleges that the during the investigation, American Airlines employees told police they witnessed the man move from his assigned seat into the row where the woman was sleeping. The woman is seeking punitive damages and a jury trial. -- Melissa Vargas

You are NOT in a minorty here !! but part of a growing majority that “gets” the threat of Queerism to America.
How to proceed against it is in contention.

The Q is not that one “chooses” to be Queer but that it is “marketed to skulls-full-of-mush” as a “free and anti-parent choice”, etc. The real threat is when these folks actively collude en masse to undermine and subvert America and its’ core values and societal integrety in this CultureWar. These different “fights and threats” are the many battlefields in this planetary-wide war.

As to Marxism and PCism - I suggest you read Antonio Gramsci’s works and you will see just how “Un postMarxism”
the situation actually is. That the neoCommunist have taken the tactic of hiding their assualt behind PCism/Queerism?Feminism/Humanism/Liberalism/ is their current methods and this so stated in A.Gramsci analysis (from ~1945).
The real Q is who is employing all this against America and Western society and civil society at large.

As I have posted here often - the real fight now is the CultureWar and the Islamic threat is part of that AND that this “war” is a three-way fight. That the Islamist have been at this since they started in 635AD is a given but the fight is much older than them.
Only now is it coming down to the “EndTime War” that all this is working into a finale war is what makes it seem so “unreal” and too much to get ones mind around.

Romans 1:25-27 tells us that same-sex sexual relationships are a consequence of idolatry. In other words, such relationships are a consequence of disobeying the 1ST COMMANDMENT, a major aspect of the GREATEST COMMANDMENT, to love the jealous God with all your being.

Homosexuals need to keep in mind, however, that the good news of the gospel is not about how God despises same-sex sexual relationships. In fact, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 indicates that certain members of that church had been slaves to such relationships but had been cleansed in Jesus' name. So these former homosexual had evidently repented and accepted God's grace to straighten their lives out.

Gays are a bigger threat than Islamist terrorists? Only if one feels less than confident about their own sexuality. In the real world, gays don’t threaten anyone with their choices.

Mrs. Kern's outraged critics and the quoted writer should try telling that to the former residents of Sodom and Gomorrah, but that would be difficult to do because they would have to find an open line to Hell to send the message through.

God will not long tolerate a nation which honors homosexual depravity with the same official recognition it gives to the God-ordained union between male and female humans that has been the only recognized type of marriage in any nation of any importance for all of recorded history. I fully expect the US to take the next giant step toward it's inevitable destruction with the coming to power of another and even more flagrantly pro-homosexual "rights" Democrat administration backed by a Democrat majority in both the House and Senate.

If I am still here on planet Earth in mortal flesh when the US falls whether by a blinding flash of nuclear light or by a long and painful process of decay and dissolution, I will sadly mourn it's falling from it's past dominance of the world's stage after such a well intentioned beginning. The US nation and it's Constitutional Republican form of government was in large part designed and created by God fearing patriots who believed and put into words on paper that only a body of people who are committed to and guided by the Judeo-Christian Bible and the gospel of Christ that it reveals and exposits can successfully establish a nation governed by and for the people themselves through a representative form of government. All that grand period of American history is now fodder for late night comedians and is scorned or ignored by revisionist historians, while the eternally true and all sufficient Word of God is ridiculed by America's academia and in our government schools as an ancient book filled with archaic traditions and bloody fairy tales which are believed only by gullible children and weak minded adults who are incapable of facing what the scoffers profess to believe are scientifically proven facts.

For years I have been seeing one-frame cartoons in magazines and newspapers showing a tattered, street-dwelling derelict carrying a sign saying "The End Is Near". After all that has happened in and to our nation in the last 16 years, and in light of what appears certain to come next with next January's inauguration of a new Democrat Chief Executive and Commander in Chief, I am beginning to seriously suspect that those signs are not just the invention of some cartoonist's mind, but are entirely believable predictions of the eventual fate of our nation and it's founder's brilliant concept of government of, by, and for the people.

Thank you for your response. I generally, vaguely, agree with you in part; I disagree in other regards.
I find the groups allied against us to be incongruous at best. I suppose their theory is to kill us first, their staunchest enemies, and then eat each other after we have left the scene.
For example, as to incongruous: NOW supports the woman-hater and defiler Billy C., liberals support the atavistic cannibalistic Pals (who even other Arabs hate) against the Israelis, liberals support the Islamic fascists who would kill their darling homos and then kill them, abortionists who decry the death penalty while supporting mass genocide of innocent American children; Jewish people who vote for democrats (that truly amazes me), blacks who will likely vote for HRC after she blatantly steals the nomination and disses Obama, and so forth. None of it makes sense logically.
But it’s not logical; it’s all ad hoc, make it up as you go, never stop, seize the headline warfare against those (us) who wish to keep America as it is (was) and those who want to turn it into a socialist state. An enemy of my enemy is my friend etc. They use the homo, illegal immigrant, black grievance agendas as fronts in their war against the America that has been the only bright city on the hill in history.
But, I don’t see a communist agenda though it is a culture war. Rather, I see it as a war between the elites and the rest of us. Forget the lawyers, first kill the middle class, and make those of supposed lower entitlement remain on the plantation and subservient.
The American electorate has moved to the left. Witness only the centrist policies of our candidate. Blame must go to Bush for not using the pulpit and righteous rhetoric at opportune moments. He may have meant well, but he is a failure and a fatality in this culture war, and he has imperiled us because of his reticence or inability to articulate his motives. Now we are stuck with Uncle Mac and two socialists, one (Obama) so far to the left it is amazing that any one other than sophmoric sophmores would even think of him as suitable for POTUS. It really is sickening.
But I do not see a Lenin/Trotsky/Stalin/Che/Hugo variable here. Those turkeys have been consigned to the trash heap of history. Rather, it’s the elites (B. Streisand, HRC, Gore, Clooney, Penn, Swimmer, we know who they are, ad nauseum to the point of vomit) against us. It’s the fight of our lives; it’s the fight of our generation. That’s why we cannot let 2006 repeat. We may be disdainful of McCain, but, as Rumsfeld observed, you fight the war with the army you’ve got. McCain is the only army we’ve got. I think McCain will win the election, but that does not mean an end to the effort of the elites to tell us how to live while they cavort about like paris hilton imbeciles.
I’ll check out Gramsci.

I would rather be followed in a dark alley by a gay person than a terrorist.

Thanks for sharing that with us. Have you considered moving to San Francisco?

If being “Gay” is so good, why does the “Gay community” feel the need to defend being “Gay”?

Why does the “Gay” community wish to indoctrinate children to a lifestyle that is self defeating. This is a definition of insanity.

Since “Gays” are incapable of reproduction, the “Gay” movement needs heterosexuals for the purposes of indoctrination, Currently they are trying to indoctrinate children since indoctrinating adults has failed.

Your coolness with spin is defeated by your lack of reading comprehension. Care to share your SAT score?

Sorry that I OFFENDED you..

I guess you folks out there in Maryland have a hard time recognizing wry humor....

..but it IS strange that Mr Morrissey would use homo talking points for his arguments, don't you think?......and do you know that he is not in fact gay?....if he is, then what is wrong with speculation that he may be....and if being a homo is so noble and good, one would think that being "accused" of being one would be a good thing....right?
