Hells Bells. If Howard Fineman of Newsweek and MSNBC's favorite Mainstream Media go-to guy can do his best reporting from the Green room (the holding area where guests get make-up and hair done) -- so can I. I was invited on Hannity and Colmes on Friday night to talk about THE SEDITION REPORT released by Move America Forward earlier in the day at a national press conference in Washington, D.C. before the moonbats took to the streets spreading lies about our soldiers during the Iraq Veterans Against the War propaganda-fest. Of course, those half-baked contentions were soundly refuted. I found out late that evening that the whole show was going to be Obama, Obama, Obama and his connection to the Trinity Church in Chicago and the hate-filled rantings of it's retiring pastor Jeremiah Wright. As I was waiting to go on-the-air, Major Garrett of Fox News was on stand-by to do further reporting on his excellent interview with BHO in which he simply asked a number of questions like: "Did Reverand Wright marry you? Did Reverand Wright baptize your children? How often did you attend church? Did you donate money to the church?" After that segment aired, Major Garrett's phone started buzzing. He recieved a call from Obama's campaign, and they were REAMING him over the report. From his end, I heard Garrett say "I have nothing to apologize for." He repeated that several times, and he amplified by saying that he was merely asking questions that everyone wanted answers to. That did NOT satisfy Obama's people, and Garrett flushed a couple of times while responding to the invective thrown his way. He finally ended the conversation by saying 'I'll see you guys in April after I go home and visit my three children who barely know their father anymore." I was scheduled for the last segment with Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes. Bob Beckel, a Democrat strategist with whom I have shared a split screen on several previous occasions, went on just before me. This time, he was FURIOUS. Madder than I have ever seen him on TV. He was making a point that I didn't really understand about kids who go to Obama's church growing up to become President, and was drilling Sean about that. Whatever. Here's the interesting part. After the segment was over, I exchanged seats with Beckel. As he was leaving, he slammed the studio door so hard that it almost broke some expensive audio/video equipment, according to the technican who was threading my microphone. He was STEAMED. Later, I asked him why he was so upset. He replied ..."because Obama's people didn't vet him and now Hillary's going to win.' Catch that? A senior Democrat strategist thinks that Obama has lost the campaign over his association with Reverand Jeremiah Wright's militant separatist language that includes statements like "God Damn America." I pointed out in my segment that my co-author Catherine Moy wrote about Obama's close personal association at this very website about a year and a half ago. Catherine and I were excoriated for making that piece public. What a difference a year or so makes, plus VIDEO of those hateful rantings. I think Bob Beckel really loves Obama. But just a guess on my part. An educated guess, but a guess. I know for a fact that Alan Colmes does. My advice to any pundit going on TV --stay away from Bob Beckel when he gets mad. You might get singed. P.S. Beckel was really quite lovely to me after he cooled down. He even complimented me on my H&C segment. And that's my complete report from Inside the Green Room.... |

On the show, he talked over Morgan completely with that smug look on his face.
Why do they have guests if they won't listen to them?
I taped the segment, and decided not to put it on You Tube and post it because you could only hear Colmes talking over Morgan.

I don’t watch the show primarily because Colmes makes it very hard to practise “keep your friends close and your enemies closer.” He reminds me of the kid in the neighborhood who, when we got tired of playing baseball or cowboys and nativehyphenamericans, we’d go pound the crap out of just because he desperately needed it.
Isnt Beckel the idiot who wrote a check to a whore and she used it to bust him?

Beckel did look mighty uncomfortable during that segment. You could tell he was having a real hard time trying to put lipstick on a pig.
If Major Garrett ever decided to leave journalism, he would make a passable prosecuting attorney.
I saw Beckle's segment, he was hoping for a Hillary/Obama ticket.
That is off the boards now, especially if Hilllary wins the nomination.
My worry is that guess who is with McCain on this trip to Iraq????

I would also prefer Fred or Duncan over Romney but I just don’t see it in the cards.
Karma. Obama won his senate seat because the GOP didn't vet the dirty laundry of his first opponent (Ryan)...or simply assumed the Dims would play nice and ignore unsubstantiated accusations made against Ryan in a divorce/custody fight.
It’s remarkable, really. When you realize this was all “out there”...and many on the right wrote, blogged and published about it- and only NOW does it go mainstream, it’s easy to see the power of the MSM.
Please, never, NEVER use "Hillary" and "secrete" in the same sentence. Especially on a Monday morning.

I think Bob Beckel has serious anger managemnet issues.
I watched the segment and Beckel kept going on and on about little children in the Wright congregation growing up to be President. His point seemed pointless, but he appeared to think that it was some kind of gotcha.
But I hope that Beckel is right and that this is the end of BO (middle initial deleted.)
Even better scenrio: Obama wasn’t vetted properly and he still gets the nomination. His campaign falls apart. The young voters become disillusioned. The old-school democrats wonder what happened to their party. Dem turnout in November is pathetic and the Republicans clean up.

The RATS are bound to be in disarray no matter what. If Hillary steals the nomination, the Obamaniacs are going to riot. If Obama wins, he’ll lose some of Hillary’s vote, for sure, but they’re certainly better off. Obama has said he’s not interested in being Hillary’s vice-President, and clearly shot down THAT idea that Team Clinton was floating a week or so ago. So that leaves Hillary as HIS Vice-President as the only other option that’ll keep the Democrats together... but I can’t see her ego as allowing that, and, frankly, I think Obama’s far too intelligent to offer the spot to her.
All this would be GREAT news to us if we actually had a candidate WE liked.

I watched the Friday evening fiasco, and he certainly was trying to bait somebody, anybody, into biting on that bit about all the kids going to Obama’s church being unfit for the Presidency. That’s typical of Beckel and the leftist loons...jump immediately to the absurd.

I expect that’s exactly what’s happened. I had this discussion on another thread this morning- I was ASSuming all the MSM were in the tank for Obama..and was reminded there are still plenty who want Hillary..so this makes sense.
Somewhat OT- Just heard Hillary’s speech on Iraq just now. She was going on about Iraq, withdrawing, etc...when in the middle of it she said “Senator Obama has said WORDS MATTER...and I agree with him...”

Bob Beckel is , and always has been a Clinton stooge and an ass. He shows it every time some Dim gets caught doing something stupid, and all he can do is spew about what Repubs have done similar, instead of addressing the fallacy of his party.
Rememebr, Beckel also floated the trial balloon in 2000 of convincing some Bush voters in the Electoral college to vote for Gore..and didn’t he have some Spitzer problems himself with a hooker. I seem to recall somethign to that effect?

If you look at the bitter 'expert analysts' on the tube lately, almost every one of them, Beckel, Estrich, Morris, for example, all ran losing campaigns.
I have a very simple way of dealing with bullies, and I'm frankly happy that I don't have to deal with many in my life.
I simply revert to my old "Battery Commander" mode, as I call it. Nose-to-nose, fire in the eyes, and 110 decibels of righteous anger.
My old First Sergeant put it another way, this from a man who was 6'4", 210 lbs, -5% body fat...you know the type. About 6 months into my command, he came into my office and said, "Sir, I know when you are not to be messed with by anyone. Your eyes get real small, like when a rattlesnake is ready to strike. When I see that, I tell everyone to steer clear of the old man."
I was in decent shape back then, 5'11", maybe 180-185. I was initially taken aback by that comment, saying "you've got to be joking". By his protestations to the contrary, I knew he was not joking.
From that point on, I learned to use that mindset, and that "look" on an as-needed basis.

I quit watching the H & C show some time ago for the same reason I couldn’t tolerate looking at or listening to Colmes. He is such a twit. Hannity would do so much better solo. If they really want ratings sky rocketing, I don’t know why FOX doesn’t wise up.
