What the Election is REALLY About-Not Red and Not Blue but YOU

I have a feeling that this Presidential election is about a lot more than whether we have the first woman president, or the first black president, or the first prisoner of war president. I think it's about whether whoever we elect has the strategic ability to understand that the era of big government is over, that tax cuts are better than tax raises, that there are no more family farms and nobody cares except the people in Iowa who are trying to convert them to ethanol ranches anyway, and that there are asymmetric threats to the peace of the world that have nothing to do with oil but everything to do with corruption and disintermediation.

Unless you just arrived on the planet and missed all of the 60's and most of the 80's you have to understand that the era of big anything is over unless of course you're Wal-Mart. Big Government, like Big Corporations, has been long on promises and short on delivery from health care to defense to highway and bridge maintenance.

How is there a choice? All three of the remaining candidates treat these issues the same.

How should they understand that the era of big government is over when it just keeps growing like a tick on a dog’s ear?

I think the tick is bigger than the dog.

Uh, this guy refers to the remaining 7 family farms; there are far more than 7; he’s an idiot.

However something much more dangerous is going on. The ERA of Socialization of government is not over.
The radicals of every group from Environment, Global warming, Race, homosexuality and islam are not satisfied to use the bully pulpit to proclaim how they are right and everyone else is wrong, they want it codified. Make a law or a zero tolerence policy. Kick kids out of school for trading candy bars - make it illegal to talk directly or indirectly about race relations, we must embrace homosexuality not just tolerate it. On and On and On.
They start with our children hoping indoctrination can occur without parental knowledge and then hopefully they can turn on their parents.
it is a trickle that is soon to be a flood.
