Clarification: The Obama campaign has told members of the press that Senator Obama was not in church on the day cited, July 22, because he had a speech he gave in Miami at 1:30 PM. Our writer, Jim Davis, says he attended several services at Senator Obama's church during the month of July, including July 22. The church holds services three times every Sunday at 7:30 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Central time. While both the early morning and evening service allowed Sen. Obama to attend the service and still give a speech in Miami, Mr. Davis stands by his story that during one of the services he attended during the month of July, Senator Obama was present and sat through the sermon given by Rev. Wright as described in the story. Mr. Davis said Secret Service were also present in the church during Senator Obama's attendance. Mr. Davis' story was first published on Newsmax on August 9, 2007. Shortly before publication, Mr. Davis contacted the press office of Sen. Obama several times for comment about the Senator's attendance and Rev. Wright's comments during his sermon. The Senator's office declined to comment.

In any event, I agree: I don't believe there is any way the superdelegates are going to put him in now.

Obama is a liar. His attachment to this racist, anti-semitic, anti-American “church” proves that he is unfit to hold any public office. There should be demands that he withdraw from the Presidential race.
It doesn’t matter if he they can’t prove that Obama was there for that particular sermon. If they can show that Wright made similar speeches on a regular basis, that’s enough to prove Obama a liar.
Newsmax has got to do better than that. The only way I can see this getting resolved is to.
1. Listen to the sermons to figure out which day.
2. Find Obama’s whereabouts.
3. Match it up with the news account.
Obama campaign lies to cover up whether he attended one sermon.... As if the pattern of his mentor is not proof enough that Obama has adopted an anti-white, anti-American philosphy.... Hey Obama when you talk about the WE can be the Change that WE believe WE are all Americans both black and white.... An American President cannot hold one constituency views above another and your racist preacher and his ilk tell us exaclty what kind of President you would be...
I feel I can safely say Obama will have us all paying reparations.
Secret Service records should have FOIA requirements... in other words the SS had to be there with him and since Taxpayers are paying their salary if they attended that service then it is Public information and needs to be retrieved.
The Democrat machine must be thanking some deity somewhere for those superdelegates. They can put an end to this charade and return the crown to Hillary where it has always belonged, right? Then all will be right with the world.

I hope Newsmax is right but this eagerness to discredit Obama (perfectly understandable) should be backed by accurate and careful reporting. This clarification, unfortunately, makes NewsMax’s earlier article look suspect.
Of course, peddling discredited stories is nothing new for NewsMax. After all, they were exposed for the Hillary Clinton’s “Military Medal” story right here on FR.
And they can’t even blame Rove for this.
Doesn’t matter whether he was at a particular meeting or not. If it was a white candidate that belonged to a racist organisation, it would not matter that he/she didn’t attend all the meetings.

I am just wondering: If this fellow was there, on July 22, 2007 for the purpose of uncovering information about Obama’s church...why didn’t he have a camera, or a tape recorder, or something to verify what he saw and heard? Without some verification, it is just his word against Obama’s. If he does not have concrete proof of Obama actually being there this fellow’s story will not survive.

Not only that, but whites were demanded to drop memberships in supposedly “all-white” country clubs. Yet NObomba, the “agent of change, hope, and unity” attends what I’ll bet is an all-black church, that would exclude whites as members.
This also goes to the heart of NObomba’s judgment. Was he and his strategists so blind as to not foresee this church to be a problem? I went onto it’s website several weeks ago and saw the black-obsession. Incredible. I told my liberal pals to go check out the website of their man NObomba’s church, then get back with me.

I’ve been trying to tell people here for months that Obama would be a disaster for the Democrats as their nominee. But people here kept insisting that Obama would win in a landslide and that we needed Hillary to be the ‘Rat candidate. Anyone doing a little digging knew there was a ton of stuff about Obama that would make him unelectable. Too bad it’s coming out now, just in time to save Hillary.
Oh well, I have no dog in this hunt anymore, since I can’t support McCain. But for those who want McCain to win, they would have been better off with Obama as the opposing nominee. Now they’ll have to fight Hillary, who is far more dangerous.
Obama has been attending weekly services at this “church” for TWENTY FRIGGIN’ YEARS! Obama not only KNEW about these anti-American, anti-white diatribes that anyone could purchase off the "church's" website but Obama also CONTRIBUTED to the “reverend” to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars!

Does it matter if me missed one or not? Like any folks on here, I am a member of a religious congregation and if something even slightly entertaining, or humorous, or otherwise of note is mentioned at Sunday services, believe me EVERYONE knows about it within a few days.
If something controversial is spoken, it’s addressed at the service the very next week, and in the church bulletin etc. and there’s a resolution nearly immediately.
How about the hundreds of other folks that may actually be regulars in that “church” ? Not a peep out of them as to the evil spewing from that minister of hate? No one spoke up at all?
So the smoking gun is not whether or not Obama attended a specific service, but rather the fact that he was a continuing, active, contributing member of a congregation that either 1) sat idly by or 2) gobbled up the vitriol and hate, spewed by that minister.
