TRENTON, N.J. - His estranged wife denies it, but former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey said they engaged in threesomes with a male aide.
In an e-mail to The Associated Press Monday, McGreevey confirmed published reports by former campaign aide Teddy Pedersen. Pedersen said he had consensual sex with the couple for about two years before McGreevey became governor.
McGreevey said the encounters happened, but the couple needs to move forward for the sake of their 6-year-old daughter.
"This happened, this happened in the past, and now we need to move on with our lives," McGreevey said.
Dina Matos McGreevey said Pedersen's published claims are "completely false" and were prompted by the nation's first openly gay governor as a way to discredit her.
The McGreeveys are in the midst of an acrimonious divorce. She accuses him of hiding his homosexuality before and during their marriage and has sued for damages. He has said she should have known he was gay.
Pedersen said he came forward because he was angry that Matos McGreevey was offering television commentary , in which she said she was blindsided when her husband announced his homosexuality , on the resignation of New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, who was embroiled in a sex scandal with a call girl.

Former governor Spitzer (I love the sound of that!!!) is probably happy that McGreevey has grabbed some headlines this week.
Gee something similar to a Dodd and Kennedy waitress sandwich.
The 3-some comments came out in defense of the ex-Gov in his divorce proceedings. Of course Jimbo will say they happened. makes him appear credible in some of this although all of them seem pretty much liers and well past their time in the spotlight.
Can you say “beyond embarrasment”? I knew you could.

The homosexual ex-governor who has a history of lying to himself, his wife and family, the state of New Jersey and the department of Homeland Security, or
a woman who is facing yet another new claim from a disturbed individual who routinely crushed those who got in his way?

Based on media interviews (when this McGreevey episode started)...I didn’t see true believability with her statements. So this guy coming up and putting his story out...doesn’t surprise me. You have to remember this...the story doesn’t really help her case that much or hurt it that much. She will still get a percentage of McGreevey’s money. It does make for an interesting scenario...the three of them were a regular item....until the weekend that McGreevey was going to propose to her (if we believe this story). As McGreevey was already a mayor....she was simply a trophy and acting in the shoes of Hillary (my humble opinion).
Since it happens all the time, I’m guessing some female interest is there too.

If false, it is indicative of the scum that is McGreevey. Since anyhting he says cannot be trusted, I don;t believe him or his girly boy Teddy. I would believe he had a long term affair with Teddy—that would make some sense at least.
If true, it is irrelevant. This was before the daughter was born. It just once again proves what a lowlife McGreevey is. How he got to be Governor, and how he mentioned to escape jailtime for corruption and malfeasance in office because he played the “I am a Homo” card, show how corrupt the entire political class in NJ really is.
Was McGreevey worried that he was being replaced by Spitzer in the scummiest governor contest?
Is Teddy coming forward (and McGreevey confirming (!?!)) all this sordid nonsense now, in some kind of effort to mitigate Spitzer’s headlines? or what? What is the deal with these slimy, awful people?
Is anybody getting sick & tired of ANY stories about our pols in bed (or elsewhere) with people they aren’t married to? I was too young for JFK & Marilyn (now THAT’s a good choice - if you’re going to cheat, go with the best); Bill, Monica & the cigar was a national disgrace; McSleazy & his queer tryst - utterly sickening - we did NOT need to hear about that; Spitzer-nauseating, if only because of him; now we have to relive McSleazy again???
Why can’t we go back to the days when the bedmate of a politician was his business and his wife’s, not that of the nation? There are enough financial and influence-peddling scandals to go around - why can’t the press concentrate on those? They are, after all, a whole bunch more relevant to whether someone is fit to hold power than their choice of bedmates.
It’s pretty big news when a president is impeached for lying or a sitting gov hires a gay lover for Homeland Security Chief or a arrogant NY gov launders $$ to pay for a call girl.
this gigilo could be in cahoots with the Gay Blade so the divorce settlement "swings" in McCreeveys way..
The short story is, they are an amoral group of perverted slobs. I hope McGreevy enjoys his stint at the ministry. Hopefully he will return to I 95 rest areas and follow his true calling.
