White officer charged in death of black woman (MSM and blacks playing the race card)

LIMA, Ohio - A white police officer accused of fatally shooting a black woman as she held her 1-year-old son during a drug raid was charged with two misdemeanors Monday, outraging activists and relatives of the woman who said he should face tougher penalties.

Sgt. Joseph Chavalia was charged with negligent homicide in the death of Tarika Wilson, 26, who was killed in a January SWAT raid at her house while looking for her boyfriend. He was charged with negligent assault in the wounding of her son Sincere Wilson, whose finger had to be amputated.

Chavalia pleaded not guilty Monday to both counts. If convicted of both he would face a maximum of eight months in jail.

"Any time a man shoots through a baby and kills an unarmed woman, and is charged with two misdemeanors, I think it would be an understatement to say that that's unacceptable," said Jason Upthegrove

FBI Sniper Lon Horiuchi was never convicted of any charge when he shot Randy Weavers wife at Ruby Ridge as she held their infant. Sniper Fire from a distance is, of course, a much more calculated act than the hysteria that accompanies a SWAT Team "dynamic entry".

Best regards,

IMO the race of the cop or the victims is irrelevant. The continued use by the MSM only furthers racial tensions.

Incidents like this are why I think use of SWAT teams should be severely curtailed. Why not arrest this guy out on the street somewhere? It can’t be that hard to catch a crack dealer with crack.

This vaunted war on drugs sure doesn’t seem to be stopping the drugs.

One difference at Ruby Ridge is they were ordered to shoot regardless of whether they were a threat. I’m sure this raid was merely another high risk event with hair triggers.

No need to worry, Obama and Reverend Wright will make it right in a New York moment!

Just wondering if there’s more to this story.

Race is irrelevant.

Gender of the victim is irrelevant.

SWAT fubar’d it big time. They only go in when they are in huge numbers and know there’s only a couple people there. When do you ever see them go to known gang hangouts where the money and drugs are and take down a few dozen hardcore gangbangers? They never do, even though that is what they SHOULD be used against. They don’t because they don’t want to go after the dangerous criminals because they’ll get shot at.

Small time thug they;ll make a big deal about going after and taking them down. It’s a great live training exercise with a lot lower risk than a gang hangout (I was going to say “hideout” but all thecops know where the gangs are, if they wanted to find them).

It’s the MSM and the blacks making it into a racial issue. The title claims “black woman” and then the first paragraph is “white police officer”.

Let me get this straight. Black person kills white person, absolutely no problem. White person kills black person, Oh! my God! the sky has fallen it has to be racially motivated.

The storywriter purposely omitted that Ronald Reagan got black people hooked on crack...

According to the nutcase, Rev. Wright.

I’m not saying that but I can understand how things could get crazy in an environment like that. The black community is sometimes too quick to blame the police instead of the environment the police have to do their jobs in. Maybe the kid will have a chance at life now but more than likely the state will give the kid to another dope smoking relative.

yes they do, which makes me question the raid even more. Theres a very good chance for collateral damage going into these places and unless theres a major load of drugs in the house its not worth the risk. You can’t believe its worth this lady’s life to pull a couple of rocks off the street?

I don’t think her life is worth a couple of rocks but it was she that put herself in an environment where a bad outcome sometimes happens.

Have you ever seen COPS? I've watched it enough times to see that the cops don't go after the person that just sold the crack but the person that just purchased a rock. Most times they sit there in hiding and go after the person buying instead of the person selling. They catch the guy with a drug problem and has a rock or two and leave the person alone that just sold the drugs, probably with enough for a felony. The person buying the drugs needs treatment and the person selling the drugs is most likely a thug and probably very dangerous. The war on drugs is a farce.

IIRC the 'ROE' at the Weaver's was open season all adult males, and the murder of Vicky Weaver was an accidental 'miss' shot at Randy as he ran unarmed INTO the house...

bla bla bla...she put herself into a dangerous situation...bla bla bla

the 'danger' that killed her was leo playing army over a little dope that couldve been had any time and anyplace of their choosing...

LFOD...

Cops is a show created for the purpose of entertaining people. It shouldn’t be used as a training tool.

Okay, but it's still video of real cops on duty and I've seen what I've seen and that is usually they go after the folks buying the drugs instead of the sellers. Maybe the video showing it another way ends up on the editing floor.

What a suprise! Another no knock raid gone horribly wrong.

“It’s a sad day for us that one of our officers was indicted,” Garlock said.

Also a sad day when a bystander is killed by a public servant.
