[NY] Gov. Paterson admits to sex with other woman for years

The thunderous applause was still ringing in his ears when the state's new governor, David Paterson, told the Daily News that he and his wife had extramarital affairs.

In a stunning revelation, both Paterson, 53, and his wife, Michelle, 46, acknowledged in a joint interview they each had intimate relationships with others during a rocky period in their marriage several years ago.

In the course of several interviews in the past few days, Paterson said he maintained a relationship for two or three years with "a woman other than my wife," beginning in 1999.

so the guy is getting some in the alley late one night from a prostitute, when a cop walks by and shines the light on them and says,"Hey, what are you to doing?"

The john says," I am making love with my wife."

The cop says, "oh, I did not know."

"Neither did I", says the john,..."Until you shined the light on her face."

You know, I have thought all day about that term, ‘ridin’ dirty’. It would be a great hook to a song. I am working on it even as we speak.

DEAR ABBY: I am 27, and my wife, “Marybeth,” is 26. We recently went to my folks’ house for supper. That evening a heavy snowstorm was starting and, because the trip home is 30 miles, we decided to stay overnight.

My old bedroom is upstairs, as are the rooms of my brothers, ages 25, 24 and 22. The guest room is downstairs. Because the room is quite small, and Marybeth said she felt a cold coming on, we decided I’d sleep in my old room.

The next day, while we were driving home, Marybeth told me she was glad I had come to her room after all and made love to her.

Abby, it wasn’t me! She had mistaken one of my brothers for me in the darkness. We are all about the same size and build.

I have talked to each of my brothers (they all know about this), but they won’t say who it was for fear of causing a rift between the guilty party and me. I told them that unless I find out who it was, there will be a permanent rift between all of us. (Marybeth still doesn’t know it wasn’t me.)

Not too sure if its adultery if his wife knew about it

Of course it was, and she admitted to having done the same, apparently. But at least he didn't broadside her with a revelation for which she was totally unprepared.

I really want to go back to the '50's. I have never had sex with anyone other than my wife. I don't even know what sex is. I don't even know how to spell sex.

Remember when Pat Nixon maybe having a fur coat was a scandal. Yes, and Checkers. The kids got to keep Checkers. All that stuff was passed off as scandals.

I really wanna go back to the '50's.

At least he didn’t try the “ I’m legally blind and I couldn’t tell it wasn’t my wife” approach.

Hey--Obama is trying that approach: "I never heard the Rev. Wright make those statements." I think we've hit upon the new democrat logo:

the Brits were right, when Clinton was let off.

Thanks for making it mainstream, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton.
You're a disgrace.

You are absolutely right! We have so come to accept sin in our land that we have LOST our moral compass!!!

it gets interesting. It's possible that Paterson may have used "state" or "campaign" money to pay for a hotel stay in 2001 (from the NY Daily News article):

Records show that in September 2001, then-Sen. Paterson's campaign spent $456.46 for two nights at what was then called the Quality Hotel at 215 W. 94th St.

One check was dated Sept. 10 — the day before the 9/11 attacks — and the other Sept. 24. Both are listed as "office" expenses.

Not too sure if its adultery if his wife knew about it

What kind of logic are you employing?

a·dul·ter·y /əˈdʌltəri/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[uh-duhl-tuh-ree] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –noun, plural -ter·ies. voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse.

Says nothing about anyone knowing or not knowing about it.

“....Not too sure if its adultery if his wife knew about it...”

who knows has nothing to do with it. If he had intercourse with a woman while still married to another woman it is Adultery, with a capital “A.”

And don't try to soften it with other words. Adultery is Adultery and one who engages in it is an Adulterer. That should now be part of his description whenever his name appears.(ditto - the Adulterous wife)

Actually, in light of Lawrence v Texas, it’s hard to see how any adultery or alienation of affection offence could be legally prosecuted in the face of a determined defence.

Legally, American society has become willfully blind on most matters of family law.

??? He didn't admit to he and his wife's adultery until AFTER being sworn in.....after the previous governor resigned in disgrace for hiring hookers. Ummmmm, me thinks he just became governor under false pretenses. He was never elected by a populus knowing who they were electing. I call those set of occurrences.....lies.

Did you see Obama is giving a speech on race? Why isn’t he giving a speech about religion as his difficulties relate to his church, not to his race. Democrats always change the subject, don’t they? Anyhow, he’s half black and half white. I’m sick of the adultery on both sides of the aisle and the race talk pushed by the MSM. Obama’s speech is too little too late imo. The damage is already done. If that church hates white people, they hate me and that’s bigotry.
