Obama's Leftist Manifesto
3/18/08 | Vanity Analysis

Posted on 03/18/2008 10:12:31 AM PDT by Williams

My jaw dropped reading this section of Obama's speech. He first equates Reaganism, anti-crime efforts, criticism of affirmative action and welfare reform with Revereand Wright's statements. He really equates all of these with racism, but then says dismissing it as racism is counter productive.

Obama instead attributes all these mainstream American values movements to an ongoing class struggle. Somehow corporate profits and executive compensation are the real causes of these "misguided" racist reactions by whites and blacks. Corporate America is pitting white against black, like puppets.

Please read this part of the speech carefully, because it makes no sense, it is a deeply left wing view of America, and it no doubt is grounded in Rev. Wright's view of America:

Obama: "Like the anger within the black community, these resentments aren’t always expressed in polite company. But they have helped shape the political landscape for at least a generation. Anger over welfare and affirmative action helped forge the Reagan Coalition. Politicians routinely exploited fears of crime for their own electoral ends. Talk show hosts and conservative commentators built entire careers unmasking bogus claims of racism while dismissing legitimate discussions of racial injustice and inequality as mere political correctness or reverse racism.

Just as black anger often proved counterproductive, so have these white resentments distracted attention from the real culprits of the middle class squeeze – a corporate culture rife with inside dealing, questionable accounting practices, and short-term greed; a Washington dominated by lobbyists and special interests; economic policies that favor the few over the many. And yet, to wish away the resentments of white Americans, to label them as misguided or even racist, without recognizing they are grounded in legitimate concerns – this too widens the racial divide, and blocks the path to understanding."

Obama is the greatest threat this nation has ever faced, if he becomes POTUS.

He poses an existential threat.

You’re right—very telling. And even if he gets past the description of Wright as a part of an older black generation, how does he get past the two or three younger generations being fueled by Wright’s fury, and “heartened” by Obama’s rhetoric?

I’d vote for Keyes in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, he’s not political enough to be elected to any office.

He said that white racism was the basis of the Reagan Coalition. I despise this fiend more than ever.

Yeah, not a good way to court those Reagan Democrat types.

Sorry—not even this controversy makes me long for the King days. At least he was smart enough to leave most of the anti-white & Marxist talk back in the smoke-filled rooms.

Yes, that corporation-bashing part of the speech disgusted me. Obama more-or-less said that instead of hating each other, blacks and whites should band together and hate corporations. So, Obama’s message is hate.

It was his white granny’s fault!

Him dragging his grandmother into this was really the low point. But it highlights the fact that simply everything is political for ideological, doctraine leftists. I intensely dislike people who use their closest relatives as cheap talking points. Simply despicable.

As an AA, I get it. Most Republicans did not vote for civil rights. AA community will never forget that..albeit in the 60s! I have tried to tell my friends, that was a LONG time ago.

I knew he was a marxist. As for the anger, there is a lot of it. Mostly about people who blame others for their self-induced problems, and self-appointed “civil rights” “leaders” who keep their community down while collecting money from them and blaming Whitey.

Mentions his White grandmother only to trash her as racist but doesn't ascribe any racist talk to anyone else in his life (like Michelle never uttered an errant word about Whites).

That's right. The big lie here is that Obama has sold himself as some kind of post-racial uniter. It's telling that the only reference to this white relatives in this key campaing speech was to point out their supposed 'racism'.

The fact of the matter that BO is a black grievance-monger no different from Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton in substance. Only the packaging is different.

It isn’t often I can speak my mind and heart openly. Since I live in Southern California any demonstration of common sense and patriotism is quickly stomped on by people around me. I was trying to have an intelligent conversation with my sister the other day, attempting to explain to her what the difference between Liberalism and Conservatism is, she had no idea and the realization of the truth made her angry with my political stance. She works in the social field, thus is flooded with cries for help from the poorest of the poor for the government’s help. In her eyes the government is the only answer.

When I explained to her that the government’s money is OUR money, all the taxes they wage on us, all the money they spend comes from private sectors, she was stunned. She had not realized where the money was actually coming from. This did not change her mind though.

She quickly demanded from me, if the government does not provide me with a paycheck, who will? If the government does not help those poor people who will? She criticized me again for standing with conservatives saying that I have forgotten where I come from and who I am. I told her that my stance is directly linked to where I come from. I’m from Nicaragua, I was born in a communist state, so was she. I attempted to explain that the reason why we are in the USA is because of the radical stance of the Liberal government and every step we take towards Obama or Hillary is closer towards a state that made my family seek refuge in the United States.

This speech reminded me of that conversation. To Liberals the problems come from the rich and Corporate America not from divisive ideas, saying I’m from this race or this group instead of Americans. They are angered at the thought that the government is spending money in Iraq, they instantly think that they should be receiving that money for social fields and giving it to the poor.

I am saddened by the thought of Liberals running our country. The thought of social ‘reforms’ taking precedence over security and economic build up is terrifying. The US is on the brink of having a Liberal president which will take our country into the dark ages of communism. Soon we might look more like a socialist European state taxed over our limits and told what we can or cannot do. The Liberal media will paint a picture of prosperity and will seem more like the propaganda machines of the Soviets and the present day Chinese. We cannot wait for that moment and say “I told you so”. Let’s repair our rifts and stand together to preserve our republic and our futures.
