Back in a few hours - sleepy-time for me. :)
This is a pleasant relief after a day deluged with Obamaniacal nonsense. Thanks for this and love those pictures. So nice.
Our daughter's goldie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge last week.

I’m so sorry, DD..
I am awaiting word on my daughter’s kitty Trubble..one of 5 abandoned kittens I helped to survive and who was a constant buddy to me when I was staying with my daaughter..He is very young to have blocked kidneys..They are waiting to see if the catheter can come out and he can function..I lost an older male kitty with this so I am praying his kidneys function without reblocking ..
The vet said an older cat would have been dead already .He is at the vets of course.

Sorry to hear about Cooper. We just brought our 12-year old mutt (Australian Shep/husky/??) back from the vet after he had his leg amputated with a tumor into the bone. The tumor wasn’t malignant, and after 10 days he is able to go a couple hundred feet before he poops out, so things are looking up.
My little girls had a friend over today and I guess they didn’t explain the whole thing very well to her. They showed her where the incision was. The friend asked “How did THAT happen?” Mom was there and said “That’s the cut that the vet made to remove his leg.” The little girl replied “Well, is he going to put in back ON?!” :)

RIP Cooper. Say hi to all my loves at the bridge. It’s a very special place.
lovely graphic/table Meg..
awe, it is so hard for young ones to start understanding the medical problems that affect their pets, parents, grandparents & selfs.
I hope Cooper does well. If he was overweight it will be a bit harder for him to get around for longer periods of time. How great you were able to give him another chance to be a friend to you all.. They are family & we just hate when they have pain/problems
just noticed.. your pup’s name is NOT cooper.. sorry
Here is cooper.. and Dave, I am sorry for your daughter. Goldens are such loving & wonderful pets.. at any age it is a shame to have this happen..
oh Meg I hope Trubble is okay..
I have posted before but many may have missed it .. for both dogs & cats, an acid food in their diet regularly helps prevent urinary problems, stones etc.
For my pets I put catsup or spaghetti sauce in their food about 3 times a week. I mix it well with wet/dry food.
Learned this from the cat fancier’s club I was in. Most had catteries of many & expensive cats & they swore by it. It came up after I had the same experience as your daughter & mentioned it at a meeting.
I never again had a problem & have had a LOT of cats for a LOT of years.
I also add garlic to the food at the same time.
Thanks for fuzzy Wednesday Billie.. LOVE The pledge & the ping..
Raining pretty hard here the past two days. It turns to snow later today ...the weather man said had this all been snow it would have been 30 inches!!!!
My two warm fuzzies did NOT mind the hike yesterday with Pat/John & Johns two dogs.. and wont mind it again today. I am glad they are not picky about getting their fur or paws wet.
So precious, Billie. All the little flags are just perfect!
“A few of our favorite things”....puppies, kittens, jelly beans, and a darling Easter bunny. Excellent...
I am so sad over Cooper! Heard about your dog the other day and hated to hear the news. It can sure leave a crack in your heart!
Your post is precious, Meg...love it!
A real cutie, Beachie!

After the Easter eggs were located and the Easter baskets had been opened, Uncle Jay felt compelled to find out whether the white chocolate lamb was hollow or solid. Without thinking of the potential consequences, he squeezed the lamb. Suddenly Jays whole body stiffened, as if hed ingested some paralyzing poison. Finally his eyes moved to see if anyone had witnessed the deed. His thumb, however, remained stuck in the side of the lamb.
We waited for the reaction. A wail. A howl. A cry of anguish over the crushed chocolate candy. As the adults in the room scrambled for words that would soothe the sorrow of 3-year-old Jenna, she calmly spoke words that soothed us. Thats okay, Uncle Jay. The lamb would have been broken when I ate him anyway.
While we adults tried to make sacred memories out of Easter traditions, a 3-year-old made a sacred moment for us. She reminded us that Easter is about the perfect Lamb of God, broken so that we can be whole. Her youthful wisdom reminds me of the words we recall at communion: This is My body which is broken for you. May we taste and see that the life He offers is sweeter than anything we concoct for ourselves.
Bible in One Year: Deuteronomy 1315; Proverbs 27:15-27

Sorry, Dave, when I saw Cooper’s picture, I evidently mis-read the post....re: daughter’s Goldie. Sorry about that!
Good morning, jaycee
How are ya?
Dolly, I have been reading everyone’s post and I am more confused than ever. Maybe I got back on the computer too early~~LOL~~. I hate to bother Dave, but is it Cooper who died. After reading so many posts concerning this...I don’t think I have it straight. (Cooper was sick and died, correct?) I knew Cooper had been sick but as I kept reading...I wasn’t sure.
Wrote Dave twice and I think I will go back to bed! NOT!
Doing better today, Beachie! Thanks~~~

Yes if I am reading correctly (never quite sure about that), it is cooper, the pup of Dave’s daughter. I added to the confusion (what else is new?)
FR is posting very laborously for me so I am going to go do some more housework!
not much of a warm fuzzy , but that is what we have here.
Hi Billie!! What happening? I came straight to the comments section so I guess I’d better go and see what is at the opening.
I know its a lot of trouble, but it is BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you, Mr. Mayor, for our wonderful devotional. Isn’t it wonderful that He died for us but....HE AROSE! Hallelujah!
Thank you, (((Dolly)))I lost Sassy 1 at age 15 to this and I am so concerned..He is hanging in there but the outcome after the catheter is removed is a concern..This kitty is about 3...It affects males much more than females...I am going to give your hint a try nevertheless and pass it on to my daughter. My daughter is very picky about her pet food..I am very surprised that T was struck with this. He is the family entertainer kitty and much loved by my SIL, too.
By the way the “deluge” was north of me..I just got a nice rain..nothing like the Dallas area and points north
:o) Cutie!
I love finding the vintage cards..Thank you, (((jaycee)))..I hope you are feeling better.
Holy moly!
Looks very familiar Dolly, we had about the same amount. See if you lived on my street, I would have snow blowed your driveway for you.
Amen Jaycee....
Thanks Meg. I am some better but not well. Still having some shooting pains in my tummy but this happens sometimes. At least that bad part is over.
I was so sorry about your cat being sick. I don’t think I have heard about it before. Remember, my son’s cat just had to be put down recently....she was 17 and a real sweetie. It hurts bad, doesn’t it? Hope your cat can get well from this kidney problem.
Thank you, jaycee..It is my daughter’s kitty but one I love dearly. I hate stomach viruses..They hurt!

Gorgeous bird, jaycee!
Oh, Dolly..This is so beautiful but I can’t imagine having to deal with it!
That’s ok, did you see the newest on Gov Spit...oops.... Paterson? HEHEHEHE... They never cease to amaze me.

I ran through the whole thread! Must be something in the water in that building.
Very attractive? Legally blind? Duh~~~~
Thanks for your warm comments about our “grandson” Cooper. Like all pets, he was pretty special. The cancer spread very rapidly and symptoms didn’t materialize until it was too late.
I’ll be leaving shortly to go picket at our local recruiting center. Decked out in Red, White and Blue, Old Glory and a sign or two, I’ll provoke some thought in the passing motorists to honor our troops.
Eagles Up!
Raises hand! I know! I know! "Her" name is Billie. BillieBlue. :)
Okay, back to top now - was reading through all the comments first, and this one caught my eye. :)
