Just got a call from Kristinn on-scene.
This is the SECOND round of attacks that the station and Freepers have withstood today.
Cops are clearing the street of cars so the violent radicals can march down the street to the recruiting center unencumbered.
Crowds have been throwing rocks, paint bombs in GLASS bottles, water bottles, and anything esle they can throw.
MPDC Chief Cathy Lanier was there before the attacks, ORDERING HER OFFICERS to DO NOTHING if the station was attacked.
No arrests are being made.

Kristinn is asking any Freepers and Friends in the area to come down and stand with the Freepers there now.

With very few exceptions Police Chiefs are nothing but political lapdogs for the local Mayor. They will only enforce those laws their masters deem appropriate, and public safety and decency be dammed.
Last night I was reading “Xenocide” (Orson Scott Card, second “Ender’s Game” sequel). There was a very insightful section about the importance of defusing mobs, and not giving into “oh, let ‘em get it out of their system”.

DC is very keen on achieving “home rule”. Inaction in this case may well stem from that sentiment.
This is a perfect illustration of the iron grip that political correctness has on this country. Police only arrest the right “kind” of criminals. This is positively infuriating, but it will absolutely never ever ever ever change until We the People declare that enough is enough. And mean it.

Of course they are ... the leftist protesters thirst for a return to the Mythical Sixties. They've said so themselves, calling for folks to "re-create '68". What they want, apparently, is a "long hot summer" of riots. Obama has effectively threatened such, and so have these protesters.
