Doesn’t sound very peaceful.

“The MPD cannot arrest every peaceful demonstrator for the sake of a few rowdy participants. There has not, and will never be a directive from Chief Cathy Lanier or a member of her command staff to do nothing when the law is being broken.”

Three lies in two sentences. Man, they’re slick. Wish I could shovel like that.

>>One of the cities reported about was DC “SDS threw paint bombs, rocks and damaged police cars.”

>> The MPD cannot arrest every peaceful demonstrator for the sake of a few rowdy participants.

Classic misdirection by the MPD. Nobody is demanding that they arrest ALL the protesters, just the violent ones. How many of the rock-throwing protesters were arrested at the recruiting station?

Is it possible to get a couple of scanners and record radio chatter during these “peaceful” protests?

i’m sure the protesters use radios too, for that matter.

Bureaucratic doubletalk in its purest form.

I remember seeing American University tear gassed when a couple of hundred students blockaded the traffic circle next to the school in the wake of Kent State.

I looked in the car next to me that was blocked and had the Sec. of Defense Mel Laird stare back. I got the hell out of there fast.

In other news; Larry Finklestien useing the demonstrations as cover was finally able to enter the FBI headquarters and destroy his file. Although he did singe his eyebrows later that night while burning that file.

Well, so MPDC Chief Cathy Lanier is a liar. What else is new?

The DC police force has long been among the most corrupt and incompetent in the country. They are famed for their inability to track down and arrest murderers, rapists, and robbers. DC has one of the highest violent crime records in the country, and one of the lowest conviction rates for these crimes.

Did we really expect the new mayor to bring us anything different?

The law allows MPD personnel to make arrests only when there is probable cause to do so. The MPD cannot arrest every peaceful demonstrator for the sake of a few rowdy participants.
There has not, and will never be a directive from Chief Cathy Lanier or a member of her command staff to do nothing when the law is being broken."

Is she really that dumb? So, if there are some peaceful demonstrators they can't arrest the rowdy ones?

They surely saw laws being broken ( same as the Berkeley police have) and did NOT arrest the lawbreakers.

Chief, maybe write a directive that your officers must do something when laws are broken. Even if they are lawyered up Soros commie lackeys. It seems they haven't gotten that ROE

Liberal spin at it's best.

Nobody asked them too. You identify and arrest the ones breaking the law. Is this difficult to understand?

Just because someone is a cop, it doesn’t mean he’s on your side. The government bureaucracy, including so-called law enforcement, is filled with leftists who hate your guts.

And these leftists have declared war on you, your family, your individual rights, freedom and the constitution. Realize it and be prepared.

You all should contact WTOP News and complain about the lack of enforcement.
