The State Department investigation into how and why the passport files of three presidential candidates were breached is scrutinizing an employee at a Virginia-based company, which is headed by an adviser to Barack Obama’s campaign.
The Washington Times, which broke the news Thursday that Obama’s files were improperly accessed, reported Saturday that the State Department inspector general’s internal probe will include polygraph tests of supervisors to determine whether there was a political motive behind the breaches.
The article said a focal point of the probe will be an employee who works for The Analysis Corporation and is still with the company. The firm is headed by John O. Brennan, an Obama adviser, FOX News confirms. The Times reported he advises the Democratic presidential candidate on intelligence and foreign policy matters.
The Times reported that the employee at TAC is the only individual who accessed both Obama’s and John McCain’s passport information. TAC decided to honor a State Department request to delay firing the consultant to give investigators time to conduct their investigation, the company said.
Two other contract workers were fired from Stanley Inc. after it was discovered they accessed Obama’s files. It could be challenging for the State Department to force them to answer questions, however. Unless they volunteer to cooperate, they would have to be served with a subpoena compelling them to testify before a grand jury.

This could be a case of "Rush to judgment" or if he knew it was his person he figured it wouldn't get exposed, so was smearing with malice aforethought.

Glad this came out in time to be mentioned on some of the talk shows tomorrow. Some energetic higher-up sure moved quickly.
Not that the nomination fight was already down and dirty, in the mud and the blood and the beer, but this does take the edge off the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Bullfrog, er, Wright story, as well as deflecting the criticism of who was responsible.
It really might have been a Karl Rove operation. But now, nobody will ever know.

Mr. Brennan was appointed President and CEO of The Analysis Corporation (TAC) in McLean, VA in November 2005. Prior to joining TAC, Mr. Brennan had a distinguished 25-year career with the Central Intelligence Agency, serving in a variety of senior positions throughout the Intelligence Community. His last assignment was (interim) Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC). Mr. Brennan was appointed to that position, with the approval of the President, by the Director of Central Intelligence in October 2004. He served as head of the NCTC until August 2005. Mr. Brennan also served as the Director of the Terrorist Threat Integration Center (TTIC) from 12 March 2003 until 6 December 2004. When the NCTC was formally launched in December 2004, all functions and responsibilities of the TTIC were transferred to the NCTC.
Mr. Brennan began his career as an intelligence officer in 1980 with the Central Intelligence Agency's Directorate of Operations as a Career Trainee. After joining the Directorate of Intelligence in 1981, he served with the Department of State as a political officer at the U.S. Embassy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 1982 to 1984. From 1984 to 1989, he served in a variety of analytic assignments in the Office of Near Eastern and South Asian Analysis in the Directorate of Intelligence. Mr. Brennan was in charge of terrorism analysis in the DCI's Counterterrorist Center between 1990 and 1992, including during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After a management position in the Office of Near Eastern and South Asian Analysis, Mr. Brennan served as the CIA's daily intelligence briefer at the White House in 1994 and 1995. Mr. Brennan was the Executive Assistant to then-DDCI George Tenet from 1995 to 1996, and he served as Chief of Station in a major Middle East capital from 1996 to 1999. Mr. Brennan served as DCI Tenet's Chief of Staff from 1999 to 2001 and as Deputy Executive Director of the Central Intelligence Agency from March 2001 to March 2003.
In April 2007, Mr. Brennan was appointed Chairman of the Board of The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), a not-for-profit professional association of public and private sector leaders of the intelligence and national security communities.
Mr. Brennan is the recipient of numerous awards and commendations including the National Security Medal, the Distinguished Intelligence Medal, the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal, the Director of Central Intelligence Director's Medal, and the Defense Intelligence Agency's Director's Award.
Mr. Brennan earned a BA in Political Science from Fordham University in 1977, including study at the American University of Cairo in 1975 to 1976. He received a MA in Government with a concentration in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980.

I have the same access to the same files (not that I’d ever look... especially now that I know they have alarms!) and there’s just not much to look at. All that’s there is basic personal information, nothing sexy like travel itineraries and such. Certainly nothing worth losing one’s job over.
Sounds to me like a case of employees with an overactive sense of curiosity and way too much time on their hands. I believe those that are trying to find a personal and/or political agenda here are going to be disappointed.

The question is beyond normal politics ~ did he do it for the American Far Left perhaps?
The files contain the sort of information needed to set up credit cards ~ that might well have been underway ~ never concede that every surreptitious entry has something to do with espionage or politics ~ sometimes it’s little more than simple theft!

Treu story: A friend of mine was at the grocery store yesterday in Chicago. He was in line behind an African-American gal. She picked up a magazine with Hillary Clinton on the cover and said really loudly “Ain’t no white bread bitchh gonna run my country!! Shiit!”.. Now if my friend or I said something like that about Obama and made a scene like she did, we’d be on the local news or worse yet, we’d be acosted or harmed. Reverse racism does exist.

If the leaders of this breach all seem to be playing on the Dem side, perhaps like minds run......after all Watergate was a non-story until the coverup. The incidents were to find out some campaign fodder against an opponent. Supposed Obama and Clinton followers thought this would be neat to see if their candidates had visited some Islamofascist or other dictator nutter.

If a white person had gone to a church with the same speeches but put white instead of black, if a white person had a spouse who said they have now just felt proud for the first time of the country, if a white person refused to salute the American flag, if a white person said typical black people, if a white person had a spouse say we should us whites band together against blacks, If that person had connections and were friends who had blown up the govt buildings, declared war on this country, and even went to his house etc etc etc the list is endless
